With a prominent location in the middel of the Jericoacoara square, Pousada do Mauricio has a unique place in the small hippie paradise. Mauricio and his family have established a good value for money hotel for all price levels (comfort/standard) with a high room standard. Worth mentioning is a beyond great breakfast and their free of charge 6 pm tapas for your sun downer beer.... definitely recomenable!!

I am from Fortaleza, when to Jeri with my family and enjoyed our weekend at Pousada do Mauricio. Located at Main Street, steps to the beach, main square and restaurants. If you don´t want to walk, just lay in one of the hammocks and relax watching people going up and down main street. We truly recommend. Enjoy jeri! Thanks Maurizio, Carol and stuff.

Pousada do Maurizio is a great hotel ideally located in the heart of Jeri. While everything is within walking distance to the beach, the pousada is located within a few minutes walk to the beach, to restaurants, to shopping, and to just about anything you may want. The first time I stayed in Jeri, Maurizio had no availability. But after spending many nights at the aperitivo, I vowed to book early for my next stay in Jeri, and I'm glad I did! The rooms have air conditioning, which is a must in Jeri, and my room was very spacious. There was a TV in the room, which I never turned on, and also a refrigerator in the room that I used to store bottled water. A great breakfast is included in the price - fresh fruit, breads/cakes, ham, cheese, yogurt, juices, coffee, and made to order eggs (scrambled, fried, omelet). If you are a windsurfer, this is THE place to be at happy hour (aperivo/apero) that starts at 6pm every evening. The windsurfers congregate there to recap the day on the water, and the atmosphere is congenial, open, and fun. It's helpful to speak a bit of Italian, as that seems to the language of choice there. But one of the best things about this pousada is the staff. They are all super friendly, especially Maurizio. The breakfast staff laughingly (and very nicely) tried to teach me a bit of Brazilian-Portuguese so I can order eggs more easily, and the staff at the aperitivo are professional but have a great sense of humor. Maurizio himself has arranged transportation to and from the Fortaleza airport for me, chats with his guests daily (and indeed calls many of his guests friends now), and also hits the water to windsurf when the wind and surf are good. In a nutshell, I loved my stay at this pousada and will definitely stay here again! As in, next year. And the year after. And the year after that.…

The Pousada is located by the village plaza. It is well maintained - we stayed one night in the Basic rooms that was too small and in the morning after we moved to the superior room that was very spacious and clean but was very noisy. Breakfast was diversified and stuff was very helpful

A pousada fica próxima à praça, cercada de bons restaurantes, e a poucos metros do acesso à praia. Apesar de estar situada próxima o movimento da vila, o ambiente é tranquilo e não tivemos problema com barulho. Os funcionários são muito amigáveis e prestativos, incluindo o dono, Maurício. Wi-fi funcionava bem. A piscina não é grande, mas sinceramente nem chegamos a utilizá-la. Voltaria com certeza. The pousada has an excellent location. Pretty close to the main square and all the good restaurants, and yet in a calm site. We didn't have any problems with noise at night. Staff and the owner, Mauricio, are very friendly and extremely helpful. Wifi worked fine in our room. The swimming pool isn't huge, but we didn't even got into it - the beach was just so nice :) We had a really good time here and would definitely come back.…

I spent one month in pousada do mauricio and it was really great. Very nice rooms with television, air condition, refrigerator and of course hot water. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. The owners are such great people and the all crew was really nice. This is for sure the number pousada in jeri. The price was low compared to other pousadas but thats really just an extra.

Top place with loads of great features. C!earned daily, excellent breakfast and evening free snacks. Great bar with good prices. Great room and clean throughout. Lovely owners. Location is excellent. Great value for such a place. Book here don't bother with trooping round. This is the best in the village for the money.

This is a very nice place, especially for the location and receptivity. Located on the main street and a few steps from the best local restaurants. The breakfast is very good (is said to be the best of Jericoacoara - homemade breads, juices, omelettes and tapioca). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room, located upstairs, was very large with 2 rooms and a large balcony with a table and a hammock. The bathroom is very good and excellent cleaning. The establishment is operated carefully and courteously by a couple (Mauricio and Carolina). We booked it directly through e-mail. We hope to return soon.

We started out staying at Hostel Tirol in a dorm which was distinctly average. Very nice host - but basic given the price. But on day 2 we stumbled across this beauty. Wonderful owner - Marco - even gave us an upgrade because they didn't have a basic room available. Well decorated, clean, swimming pool, loads of hammocks, great breakfast, great location just a few minutes from the main beach. For the price - best played we have stayed in so far in Brazil. Would definitely stay here again.
