I stayed at Masai Mara for just over a week and really enjoyed my time there.
The staff are all really friendly and try to help as much as they can. They don't speak any other language apart from Portugese and therefore if you do not speak Portugese I would advise a good phrase book or google translate to help you with any specific requests.
The rooms are small but have all the items you might require, fridge, safe, air con, storage etc. The bathroom / shower isn't in a seperate room but instead is sectioned off from the main room with a feature wall. This isn't a problem though. The rooms are kept relatively clean and sheets are changed every 2-3 days. If you are staying at the pousada to hang around the pool for the day you need to make sure your key is at the front desk otherwise they will not clean your room.
The pool and grounds are all well kept and clean.
