This is a beautiful hotel wth extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing with tropical fruits, breads, coffee, tea, jams and so many other items. We had dinner in the restaurant on our last night - it was delicious. The location is great - walking distance to many sights....

Second stay in Salvador within a two week period. Booked Villa Bahia on the recommendation of a local guide. The staff was superb, the recommending an excellent restaurant for dinner and taking care to insure that as a single traveler I did not accidentally wander into areas which they consider unsafe. The breakfast is excellent - a full spread brought...

A wonderful place to stay! The location could not be better. The desk staff speaks English which is so helpful and they are so nice!!!! For breakfast the buffet comes to each table. So plentiful and good. The rooms were large with AC although the beds were very very soft. Don't miss the roof terrace especially at sunset! I definitely...

After a relaxing week in Jericoacoara beach we headed to Salvador, right in the middle of everything, in the Pelourinho area, so we weren't expecting a quiet hotel, where one could take an afternoon nap to wait out the sweltering midday heat. Based on the pics online, Vila Bahia looked beautiful, but as an experienced traveler, I know you only...

We went to this restaurant on our first day in Salvador (we were staying at another hotel). The food was delightful, prepared most delicately, light but satisfying. The wines were well chosen and the service was attentive and well-paced. The dining room is absolutely charming. Many of the guests were French!

We weren't sure what to expect staying right in the heart of the Pelourinho but this hotel exceeded all expectations! The hotel, rooms and hallways are filled with furniture, art and details that make you feel like you are in a museum. The windows and shades completely obscure the sound and hustle and bustle of the square below with its...

Hotel located into classical houses in the historic center of Salvador de Bahia. Full of charm. Top quality service very personalized. Excellent breakfast served by a lady who brings happiness into your breakfast. The rooms are more than nice. If some customers complain about the fact that the place is "old fashioned" my answer is: these people do not know...

Bang next to the church. It's the best location with the buzz of the city and yet slightly private. The staff was extremely cooperative. Rooms, clean and spacious. We stayed in the Madagascar room and had a great view.

Thank god we were in this hotel since it is right on the center. The moment we deviated and went slightly further from hotel you feel unsafe at times. Hotel also boasts of an excellent restaurant. This is the hotel to book if visiting Salvador!
