Villa Bahia is a very beautiful hotel with old fashioned decor matching the old town it is situated in. Our rooms on the first floor were very nice, clean and spacious with large bathrooms and cable tv. The hotel is in a great area with lots of restaurants, shops and beautiful churches nearby as well as live music on the... More

This is a lovely boutique hotel right off the main square in historic Pelourinho. Each room is unique and has its own name and comes with a charming old fashioned key (remember to it drop off with reception when you leave the hotel as they need it to service your room). The rooms are well decorated and our room had... More

We only came for dinner and were not staying in the hotel itself. The meal was very good and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. We both shared the fish and shrimp moqueca followed by creme brulee. After eating relatively indifferent meals over many nights in other restaurants it was wonderful to finally enjoy a memorably excellent dinner!

We had selected this hotel in Salvador thanks to the positive reviews in TripAdvisor (as we always do). We have been disappointed by the quality and the service of this hotel. This place really is overpriced. PROS: - the location is perfect. In the center street of the historical part of Salvador. Close from the interesting places and from the... More

The staff is excellent, the breakfast is DIVINE (do include breakfast when you book; it's wonderfully filling, and the jams and breads are made in house), and the chef is award-winning which shows in elegant dinners. We stayed in the Calicute suite, with two lovely windows facing Sao Sebastian Church. Even though we were on the square side, the room... More

Each room is named after a different Portuguese colony and individually decorated. Our room (Cuchin) even had a roof deck. Enjoyed cooling off in the pool located in inner courtyard off reception. Top-notch breakfasts and outstanding dinners, plus loved location right on the square. One slight issue likely related to the timing of our stay - a bit noisy in... More

Beautiful and spacious room, with double glazed windows to keep noise levels down. Decoration was gorgeous and authentically local. AirCon worked well, and bed was comfy. The breakfast was wonderful, ordered a la carte and served personally, rather than the typical buffet. Front desk was always very helpful and English was spoken by everyone.

In the heart of the historic city center you find this hotel. In the morning you are the first to visit the curches and squares as the tourism only gets heavy after 1130 hours. No doubt you will wake up early since the almost next door music and samba school has an early morning start. Our room was absolutely great... More

What a wonderful hotel in the center of Pelourinho! Salvador is probably one of the more dangerous cities in Brazil and we were a bit overwhelmed and nervous when arriving. The staff here made us feel at home. Particularly, the bellman who helped us with our luggage the night of our arrival. He was very nice and knew us by... More

Unfortunately this hotel did bit live up to expectations, the room was small for a deluxe room and the comfort of the room was not good enough for a hotel charging such rates. The bathroom and general cleanliness was also poor. There were works happening on the whole 1st floor of this small hotel which meant noise during the day,... More
