Our room was Big and had a View over The Bay. It is located in The Upper part, which is close to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was moderate. But with a Nice View. The staff varied a bit, from extremely Nice to average. It was great that we could hold our room longer on The day of departure. Shower and...

We staied two night at the Hotel Pilar. The hotel is very nice and has big rooms. Unfortunately the service was not so good. the reception lady didn't greet us and was not really friendly. Also the ladies next to the breakfast buffet were both not really in the mood to take care of preparing breakfast. We felt a little...

We weren't sure what to expect having read reviews, but we found the pousada excellent. Close to the historic centre - an easy walk - lovely bay view room, good breakfast and despite not speaking Brazilian Portugese apart from the basics, we managed to make ourselves understood! This was our 6th hotel on our South Amercian trip, and the best...

It's hard to review this hotel as our experiences here were varied. When we arrived we felt quite unwelcome. The lady at the desk seemed disappointed to see us and showed us to our room with little pleasure or enthusiasm. The room looked onto the bay, which was nice, but was small and dark. Once on our own we quickly...

I'd highly recommend staying here if you're coming to Salvador. One of the nicest little places we've stayed at anywhere in the world. Great location, great fresh and varied breakfast, rooms are really nice, new and clean bathroom, nice people (including the kids), so excellent value too.

This pousada is a great place to stay in a very charming part of the city. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are wonderful and the breakfast with view was the highlight of our stay. However it's important to be cautious in the nearby area, as in so many parts of Salvador pickpockets are always around the corner. Nevertheless...

I've read some of the views for this place and can't understand where the Beautiful comes into it? Arrived in evening and my husband had to ask me to put a smile on my face as my feelings of the place must have showed! It was as if we had entered into the owners own living room, with a sick young...

Positive aspects: - close to pelourinho (historical center) 750 meters by foot - spacious room (we had number 5) - view on the colourful buildings of the main street (see picture) - good breakfast on the rooftop with fresh fruit and juices (see picture) - very kind owner that speaks...

I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was at the top floor of the hotel and was stunning. The bed was comfortable and the facilities clean and modern. The breakfast room/patio was great: the view over the ocean was unforgettable. I found the hosts helpful.
