I have been recently at Vila Galé Salvador during a medical congress. The hotel is reasonably well located, near Salvador Convention Centre: this is the best we can say. The room shows its years... the bathroom hasn´t the best conditions. Breakfast is very poor for what would be expected in a 4-star hotel. The swimming pool is very small and...

The hotel is old-fashioned but it has style. The bedroom is big enough and and very convenient . The swimming pool is good but the sauna is in bad conditions. The breakfast is very diverse and delicious.

Great looking hotel. Spectacular sea views. Staff pleasant, but spoke No english, except for one staffer who the sole english speaker for the hotel and was available during the day mostly. thankfully I picked up some Portuguese before I traveled which helped out a lot.

The room was pleasant with a great view over the swimming pool to the ocean and things got much better once the toilet had been unblocked! In the morning the breakfast was more than adequate, however the selection of drinks at the bar in the evening, was limited.

Yes the hotel was older with a slow draining sink and some rust. The pool is smallish but nice. I found the staff to be very helpful (I only speak English). The direct access to a nearby beach was there but staff warned me not to try going there (thieves). The room (sea view is a necessity) was large with...

It's an old but refurbished hotel with good service, central location, spacious room and great breakfast. The pool is in front of the beach, but unfortunately due to safety reasons we don't have access to the ocean. I still recommend staying there.

We have the opportunity to know this hotel in a private event, and even considering that it was closed for our company this hotel is awful. It is hard to make a review when you don't have nothing good to say, but i think that this is a good watch out for other people planning to know them. When entering...

An older hotel with big spacious rooms. The staff is not good with English but someone can be found to help you. The breakfast is good but bland. There is a lot to choose from and so you do not go hungry.

The hotel is pretty standard for what you'll find in the area and close to the city center which is great. The thing about Salvador (and Brasil in general) is that if you want a really good hotel you will have to PAY really good money. So in terms of the average, this hotel is just that. We actually changed...
