Very authentic boutique hotel in the centre of old town; nicely decorated rooms; little bar; various breakfast buffet with a wide range of fresh fruits and juices, breads and cakes. Helpful and kind staff at reception speaking English very well. At the hotel desk we booked a private tour with tour guide Pedro for the next day; he showed us... More

Loved the location of this hotel. It is unique and lovely. Staff is amazing, all speak English which was remarkable. Breakfast is delicious. Our room # 3 was very nice. Large windows and doors that open but they also have shutters. The hotel has a bar and a coffee shop. Great caipirinha's made with fresh fruits. I would stay at... More

Located in the center of Pelorinio, the place is so nicely decorated and the staff is amazing - Leo was such a great help. It was not east to get along in the area, as someone who do not speak Portuguese, so this help has been so important.

When visiting Pelourinho, I wanted to stay in an "authentic" type hotel, reflective of the area--colonial African, simple and full of the vibe of the city. Bahiacafe was exactly that. Upon arriving, well past midnight, the area is a bit eerie, laced with graffiti and not a soul in sight. Bahiacafe had an iron gate in front of it--all of... More

Well we were super impressed upon arrival yesterday. We have heard great things about the area and the hotel itself. We are with a group of 5 ages 25-31. The rustic feel is super cute and the rooms were clean other than the smell, as well as the staff being super sweet at check in. It's in the center of... More

Location. The hotel is very well located in the centre of Salvador, right on Praca da Se. You can easily explore the wonderful Pelourinho from there or to go to the lower part of the town with Lacerda elevator that is only 5 minutes away. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around it and in 10 minutes by... More

Terrible hotel. Do not stay here. The television did not work from our first night. Nor did the wifi. We asked dozens of times for them to deal with it or move us and they refused. Despite constantly seeing new people arriving and checking in. We were told nothing we can do that is your room! Atrocious ridiculous I repeat... More

We visited the hotel in July 2016. Good boutique hotel with good breakfast. Our room had no view at all, when we opened the window, it was a wall 3feet from our window. The doors are very thin so you hear everything in the mornings. But overall very good hotel.
