If you want to relax, enjoy the nature and have a great experience, you have found your resort. I have stayed with my family and it was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Amazing service, food and infrastructure!
Great structure to travel with babies, relaxing environment, not a crowded hotel, feels exclusive as it should be. The staff is super kind, and there are many options of restaurants. The food included is a high quality, and the paid one as well (a bit expensive but affordable fore sure).
It was our fourth stay, everything is still wonderful, super attentive staff, spectacular food, great atmosphere, in short, everything five stars! This year we got to see the turtles, it was the highlight of the holidays. Next year we're back! wait for us!
I had an amazing week, with perfect services. The cleaning staffs and the waiters are extremely polite, friendly and they are very well trained. The food is amazing. I super recommend this hotel. ATT..
My family‘s experience at Tivoli was outstanding. The structure is very comfortable, the food is delicious, the staff is very kind, and the nature is beautiful! I would definitely return. Special thanks to 3 staff members that made our experience even better: Eren from Dendê and Antonio and 2 Adrianas from Goa
We loved our stay at Tivoli Ecoresort. Our room was very comfortable and the overall experience was excellent. The level of service, the food, the amenities and finally the professionalism of the staff made our stay at Tivoli memorable. We will definitely return.
The best location in Bahia, very good beach, diferent swiming polls, excelent food, a quiet place, near the Praia do Forte village for walk and shopping, good weather, friendly staff, children paradise ..... a place to return every year
Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed the resort. Although it isn't the cheapest resort to go to, we knew that it wasn't going to be that and decided to not think of that and see if by just being there and having the experience if it would be worth it, and let me tell you that it was! The price will always be hard to justify, but you have everything you need at the resort itself. Amazing service, very good and kind personel, everything. Definitely recommend anyone to go. I'm definitely going to come again!
Children area is completely isolated from other areas of the hotel. We spent just too much time moving around so that the whole family could have a good time. And the beach is just too dirty - felt like the hotel didn't care that there were dozens of plastic bottles and beer cans sitting in the sand.
A Terrible, Terrible Idea. When I came across the idea of spending a week of leisure at the Tivoli Ecoresort many of my colleagues showed a lot of encouragement. "It is marvelous, your kid is gonna love it and you too.", they said. What a terrible idea to choose the others opinion over my gut (and, more importante, my wife's gut). I hated it here. Really. The price is totally inconsistent with what is offered. Maybe this is the reality of our country, to offer astronomic prices for subterraneous service. Paying over the equivalent of 1000 USD for night did not seem to be worthy. I will go through every point here to discuss why I hated it so much. We chose to stay in one of the pool villas. They are houses with a pool on the terrace and 3 suites in the ground floor. It seemed like a good idea, until we arrived there. The hotel said: it's a 5 minute walk from the villa to the hotel. Maybe if I was Usain Bolt and ran all the way through. It was a 20 minute walk, that was impossible to be done at night due to the wildlife all over. But nevertheless, they had a cart. That you could call anytime of the day, but only from 8AM to midnight, because the gate between where the houses are located is closed outside this time frame. Breakfast starts at 7AM. But like I said, you could only reach it at 8AM. They gave you an option: you can leave from the gate of the property where the villas are located, then walk a short way in the street and then enter the hotel by the other gate and walk until the restaurant. Really, this is just absurd, because once again we heard: it's a short walk. Maybe I am too lazy, but let's say, from our villa, it was a 8 minute cart drive until the first gate, then a 5 minute walk to the other gate in a street with no sidewalk and then another 5 minute cart ride. Seems ok, until you hear how long you have to wait for the carts. They are those golf carts. Anytime you need it you need to call the reception and ask for one. In not too busy hours they take from 8-10 minutes to arrive. In busy hours we reached an outrageous 30 minute wait from our villa to the hotel. I tried to contact Guest Services, of course. They always said that this is not the standard of the hotel and that the extended wait for transportation would not happen again. But, guess what? Of course it happened again. And this is only the first thing that I would advise against staying here. Maybe staying at the hotel can be better (more on the hotel premises later), but the Pool Villas are just the worst idea I could have. What about the rooms? Well, there were three. The master bedroom had a King Size bed, a large wardrobe, but the bathroom, for God's sake. Despite presenting as a good idea, a shower that was pleasant, in a wood floor that projects itself into the nature, our bathroom just flooded! There were two doors, one for the bathroom and other directly to the showers. For the latter, I had to use towels to prevent water from reaching the bedroom, since the glass door simply was not able to block water into where it should be, the bathroom! Not only that, there was a small glass sheet separating the shower from the toilet and the rest of the bathroom. Taking a shower was an automatic tragedy, since the glass sheet had no use actually. Water just ran through the bathroom floor, and once again we had to use towels to try acquire a dry environment. The towels just got soaked, no matter how many we used. Every shower was a disaster. The other rooms I have less detail to present. But I can say that for 1000 USD a night I would expect not a standard twin bed, but at least a queen bed. The other room had to single beds. We were 5, it was comfortable, but nothing was outstanding, or how it was sold to us on the website, or, once again, compatible with the price charged. The upper part of the villa had some downs and lows. It was hot, quite hot, but Bahia is hot. They could have an AC, or ceiling fans. They had, in fact, some plastic fans but not sufficient power sockets to plug them! As downs, I would also mention that the only shade provided was from a broken ombrelone that sat fixed in a wooden table. The pool needed better maintenance. The drain was loose, the tiles were failling, there was dirt between each tile, the staircase to the pool was loose. It was a pleasant place, but the pictures we've seen at the website showed something completely different. As good things I have to mention that despite not offering a free mini bar with water and other non-alcoholic beverages, the hotel accepts that you buy your own stuff and store it in a large fridge. There are delivery options that leave your items at the reception of the property and the carts take them to the villa. The space is also pleasant, and we had some good times drinking our wine with all the equipment the house provides (there are even pans and pots, but, sincerely, who would want to cook once in a vacation to be spent in a resort?). Moving on, let's talk about the hotel. I will start with what I liked. First of all: structure to infants. There are 3 spaces where you had a fridge full of fruit and also items to help you feed your baby. The hotel provides to infants up to 3 years-old meals for lunch and dinner that are prepared daily and are delivered including at the villa upon request. This is a major relief for parents, and the quality of the food and the service overall was great. There are also other services important for kids. There are baby carts that can be used, if the guest desires there are babysitter services, the bathrooms are all equiped for changing diapers. Overall, the service for kids is outstanding. Cleanliness and readiness for COVID-19 was also good. The room cleaning was impeccable and there were many effective measures to prevent contamination. But let's go for the downs and disadvantages. I will start with price. There is a half board policy for breakfast and dinner. You are served with water, soft drinks and juices during those times. But elsewhere, prices were just absurd. From food, to the wine list, to a single bottle of water. We thought many times before ordering anything, and the restaurants available for lunch go to the same direction. I haven't seen a place with such absurd prices in a long time. And we are not talking about a 5 star luxury hotel. It is a family resort. Food wise, where where more downs than ups. I must say: variety is significant for breakfast and dinner. You had many options during breakfast, that was actually the best part of the gastronomic day. But dinner, despite variety, lacked in quality. Bahia is known for its many flavors and spices. But food lacked salt. Salt, people. And there was no salt on the table, you had to ask for it. There were some good food, of course. Dessert had its sparks. But it was majorly a disappoinment. Each night has a theme. But, sincerely, maybe less variety with a great focus on quality would be nice. There is potential here, but maybe my expectations were too high, from my friends using the word "gastronomy" instead of "food" to describe eating here. Service was also a down. There were some very polite and available waiters. It was not unusual, however, to have to make a request 2-3 times, or having a hard time to find someone to write down your order. Things are slow and quality of items ordered is not superb. It is ok. The beach service is ok, not spectacular. Maybe because the beach itself was a major disappointment. And something that was astonishing: from Thursday to Saturday there was a line for dinner. I do not mean for grabbing food, I mean for entering the restaurant. It was a 10 minute wait in average from 8PM and on, with many parents with children. It is quite clear that Praia do Forte is a rocky beach. This limits a little having fun in the sea. But the amount of trash in the beach was massive. The beach in front of the hotel is not private, but the hotel could at least provide initiatives to make the sand cleaner. There was plastic, paper, and even organic matter all over. There was also a massive amount of algae, maybe the largest amount that I've ever seen on a beach. This is not the hotel's fault, so it's impossible to criticize. I would focus majorly on cleanliness. Providing a cleanance procedure to the sand was something that would make this dreadful beach (at least in March, when we were here) in a more pleasant place. I said previously that the cleaning service at the rooms was great. But in our villa we found some unpleasant encounters with wildlife. There were spiders, bats and other insects in the rooms and in the terrace. I know, for a place in the middle of the trees in a an environment with such a complex ecosystem it was expected to have some insects. But spiders were quite frequent. And it seemed that they came from within the villa, since they were found in the floor and the furniture. I do not know if they are poisonous. But, nevertheless, this is something scary, especially with kids. Regarding bats, no problem with them flying around. They eat fruit, but since the ceiling of the terrace was made of a material similar to hay (it was not concrete) it was common for them to fly around and defecate. We found a lot of bat's feces in the floor and sometimes directly to our heads. The bathroom, in the aforementioned "rustic" shower area with wooden floors had worms, those that dwell in the ground and are harmless, but I might say, quite unpleasant to be found when you're taking your shower. The beach did not work, so, what about the pools? To be honest, they were also a disappointment. It was hot, quite hot. There was no shade and the sun burned the floor, making the beach area a place impossible to step in barefooted. The children's pool was not to shallow and not to deep, making a little hard for adults to accompany their kids. The adult's pool was ok, both of them. Once again, nothing special, with a major lack of something that is as important as the sun: shade. I guess I have given everyone the big picture. I normally am not that detailed in my reviews, and I point out only pros and cons. But I really wanted to make a full piece to express how I hated staying here and why I would never return. Having a full structure for kids does not warrant all the negatives. If it was less expensive maybe it would be justified. But for the price it charges, we were expecting a much different experience. That is why, at least in my point of view, if you are looking for a place at the beach to relax with your family, it is better to go abroad, or at least, to search for a different hotel and a different location. …
