The Otter Creek Inn is a three-story English Tudor building with a country-Victorian decor nestled on a wooded hill high above the Otter Creek. The facility has operated as a bed and breakfast continuously since 1987. There are six guestrooms, each with its own restroom, double whirlpool, and television. Many of the guest rooms also have a gas fireplace and mini-frig. Breakfast is menu style and breakfast served to your room door is a favorite choice. The Inn is conveniently located near many restaurants and shopping areas and the bike path crosses in front of the Inn connecting you with nearly fifty miles of bike trails.

This place is awesome all around. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Attention to detail was amazing. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, had a fireplace, hot tub, and every channel
You could think of on tv. There is even an open bar with yummy appetizers. What more could you want? We opted for breakfast in bed. The breakfast arrived at the time we picked on trays in front of our room. Someone knocked on our door and when we opened it there were the trays on a table. You truly can just pop out of bed and pop right back into bed with your food without seeing anyone. You don’t even have to brush your hair or look presentable😀 the breakfast soufflé was out of this world. It was such a good breakfast. I absolutely loved our stay here. My daughter and I were on a college visit to UW Eau Claire and it was a wonderful time! UW Eau Claire was on 8 min away so I know in the next 4 years we will be back many times! Thank you!

My boyfriend and so recently stayed at this Inn. Linda, the owner, was extremely welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in a king suite and the bed was so comfy. The house is very well insulated and sound proof so no need to worry about noisy neighbors! In the morning we had the option to have breakfast in one of the dining areas or brought to our bedroom. We chose to have breakfast in bed and Linda made us an incredible meal that was dropped at our door right at 9:30am when we requested! One of my favorite things about Otter Creek Inn are the breakfast choices. We were able to choose between eggs Benedict, egg soufflé, pancakes, and more! The open bar had lots of variety and the house wine was delicious. Overall we had an amazing and very romantic stay all thanks to Linda. We can’t wait to go back!

When visiting Eau Claire the last weekend of June, 2024, for the Blue Ox Music Festival and to ride on several of the area bike trails, we weren't expecting that our choice of lodging would turn out to be as memorable an aspect of our trip or enhance our overall experience as much as it did. Our large room was very comfortable, well decorated, and so quiet that we were surprised to learn the next morning that each of the other rooms in the inn were also occupied. The Inn offers an extensive and varied menu of delicious breakfast options, and we were also able to choose the time of our breakfast and a choice of several locations to have our custom breakfast served.
We also enjoyed the warm hospitality of the proprietor and her efforts to accommodate our very late first night check-in and share information and stories about the history of the facility.
The Otter Creek Inn will be the first place we will look to book for our future trips to the Eau Claire area.

Pros:
Room One was large and nice. Large bathroom with jacuzzi. Perfect place to spend a cold/rainy October evening.
Cons:
The person delivered our breakfast came into our room and was not wearing a mask. I was shocked that today they would not be wearing a mask. I wonder if a mask was worn in the preparation.
They asked when we made reservations if we were celebrating anything special. We told them our anniversary. Nothing was mentioned about our celebration.
They have a place for wine and cocktails. The red wine was sitting in ice.
The cute little gazebo had a small fire pit which was not working.
Traffic from the main road is loud when sitting outside. Did not hear any traffic when indoors.
They said they would have treats (even in the note about Covid) but no treats.
The food and room was nice. The service was lacking.

Everything was great. Out room was comfortable, clean, and just as pictured.
Self check in was easy and convenient.
The complimentary breakfast was delicious and just the right portion. It was cooked to order at the time requested and served at your desired location (in your room or your choice of seating area at the inn).
There was a bit of a miscommunication during our stay, but it was handled very well and resolved beyond our expectations.
The only complaint would be that you can hear cars passing by on the nearby road. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay. We would stay here again.

When I arrived, the host was very friendly and showed me around so I knew where everything was. The happy hour was very pleasant. As others have mentioned, there is not a lot of seating in the main room...really just one group fits around the sofa area. I think part of the charm of B&Bs is the chance to meet others, but perhaps this set up works during covid times. The room was cozy. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and he massage chair in my room was a nice surprise. Breakfast was hot and delicious and Lindsey was very sweet.

This was our second stay and it was everything we remembered. Our room was beautiful and clean. The whirlpool tub by the window overlooking the woods was the highlight for my husband.
We arrived and found snacks and wine available in the common room. We took our plate and glasses out into the garden to enjoy. Sat in comfy swings in the gazebo. A great way to unwind after a day of driving.
After dinner we roasted humongous marshmallows over the pretty gas fire in the garden. Ingredients for S'mores were also available.
We have only seen staff in the mornings and appreciate the privacy and quiet atmosphere inside the historic old house. Breakfast was top notch and plentiful. Select from a menu with about 20 options the night before, and choose the time and location where you wish to eat. We opted for eating outside this time, but any of the places are lovely.
The only downside is some traffic noise. Although it is nestled in a lovely wooded area, there are busy roads on two sides. We didn't find it an issue in our room, but it was in the background while in the garden.
Enjoyed our stay both times and will stay again next year.

We had an outstanding stay at Otter Creek Inn! Prior to our arrival, Lisa contacted us to ask if we would like to upgrade our room at no extra charge. The Honeymoon Suite was delightful ... well-appointed with a very comfortable King-size bed, smart TV, and spacious bathroom. The outdoor yard was secluded and incredibly relaxing with multiple seating areas. Complementary beverages (alcoholic and non) were available throughout the p.m. Multiple snack options filled the void before dinner. An extensive breakfast menu made it difficult to select our morning meal... SO delicious and perfectly presented by morning staff. Throughout our stay, we met no one else until breakfast staff served us. We felt as though the entire beautifully decorated inn was just for us. We highly recommend Otter Creek Inn!!

Can't say enough GREAT things about this B&B. I've never stayed at one while on business. But this was the BEST decision I've made in a long time. I will not hurry back to the hotel chains. The accommodations were perfectly clean and extremely charming - so full of character. (And I really appreciated the soft, thick napkins and TP... not paper thin)! The whole environment is homey and calming, with just enough sophistication. At the end of each day I couldn't wait to go back to Otter Creek. The staff was so very welcoming. And breakfast... sooo hot and delicious. If you are ever in the area of Eau Claire, WI, you have got to try this place. You will not regret it. I need to find a reason to go back!

The Dream Suite was perfect for my Jesus Retreat and Mario Marillo Tent Revival Crusade and birthday celebration for 4 days.
I enjoyed all the critters in the yard as they appreciate food bits and there were plenty of places to sit and relax.
An Albino Squirrel was fun to enjoy watching also.
The breakfasts are plentiful and I enjoyed the 4 breakfasts there from the 18 menu choices.
I enjoyed the spa to soak in daily. The A/C was loud, you can hear other spa jets upstairs when on and talking in the living room when loud, but earplugs and having my own Alexa music in my room drowned out background noise pretty well.
The 3-6pm Reception has plenty of beverage choices and food bits/snacks to munch on. I enjoyed treating myself to popcorn and smores and cookie bites and drinks, etc.
I liked the 5 places to choose to have breakfast set up each morning between 7-10am.
The interaction was kind and I felt very comfortable and taken care of and treated as a valued guest.
Thank you for a wonderful getaway Ladies!!
