We have never stayed at a nicer KOA. John should be extremely proud of his campground. If we are ever near there again we will return! The campground looked like a well managed city park, with weeded flower beds, and well maintained sites and grounds.
We had a great one night stop over 3 miles off the interstate in the woods. Level pads and new looking plumbing and electrical and a picnic table. There were many amenities and a well stocked camp store. The price was reasonable and caretaker friendly. Pandemic precautions were evident. We highly recommend this gem for overnight or destination camping.
This place is clean, friendly, safe, and affordable. I can’t say enough! Best KOA ever! Clean, private showers. And a well stocked camp store. Just keep 2 things in mind. This IS in the middle of bear country. And the mosquitoes are HUGE. As long as you are prepared for both, you shouldn’t have any surprises. I never saw any bears, but I know they lived in those parts. Just keep your food and trash sealed up and a bottle of bear spray around. Yet, the mosquitos were insane. As soon as I lit my fire they all left. Buy plenty of firewood and you will be fine.
Transiting to SD, we stopped here for 2 nights after 5 one night stops on the road. This park and the staff are fantastic, the staff made sure we had a spot long enough so we didn’t need to unhook our tow and had cable so my wife could watch her shows both nights. The restrooms are kept clean as are the showers & have plenty of hot water. The pool looked very inviting & there were other activities to keep you busy.
While on a vacation, a friend and I stayed here in one of their cabins. We had a great time. The cabin and the restroom facilities were both very clean. The owners and employees were very helpful and friendly. The price was not too bad for the cabin, maybe a little high. Great sites for tents and RV's as well.
