This has been a family run operation for the last 60 years. Very small and simple, but clean as a whistle and very quiet. When I checked in, I was given a pair of ear plugs because the train passes by on the other side of the highway. I turned on the fan in my room and I didn't hear...

We stayed here for one night in July. Tiny room, with very basic furnishings. Old and a bit funky, but clean as a whistle and very quiet, even though it's right next to the highway. Being up on a hill might help diminish the highway noise. The innkeeper was friendly, and the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of...

We got a cabin for less than $100 on a holiday weekend, which was surprising. It's small, but there's 2 separate bedrooms, a main dining room/kitchen, fridge, stove, sink, etc. There's pots and pans, a billion extra towels and blankets and such, and baseboard heaters and AC units in the main room and bedrooms. We wore ourselves out at the...

Realtors often use cozy to describe an undersized dwelling, but this really is a cozy, cute place. It has surprising details, like wainscoting and a tile shower. It's also in a lovely place, overlooking the Mississippi. Lastly, it attracts a sweet clientele: a lot of old timers who've been coming to it for years. In short, it's a winner!

This place was a good step above a chain motel for the same price. There were flowers and bird feeders everywhere to make the grounds look pretty and cared for, the rooms had historical photos of the area, the linens and bedspreads were nice quality, and Tammy (the owner) was extremely friendly. There was a coffee pot with actual coffee...

We've been staying at Reidt's for years every spring during the 100-mile garage sales which coincide with the St. Jude bass tournament the first weekend in May. We have never been disappointed. Tammy is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are always reasonable and very clean, albeit small. There are no queen beds, only a few double beds and...

We traveled from AZ on a winter birding trip & found this on Google maps. Small, clean rooms; simply & tastefully painted & decorated; cotton sateen sheets& new linens on comfortable double bed (we didn't even miss a queen) {2 twins also available}. Modern microwave, small fridge, coffee pot & supplies, real drinking glasses & china cups. Lots of hot water...

A friend and I needed a reasonably priced 2 bedded room for a night before a birding trip along the Mississippi River and this fit the bill very well. Yes, it is close to the railroad track and the road but it is hard to find a place along the Wisconsin side of the river on the 35 that is...

We could tell from the time we arrived that Tammy had been in the hospitality business nearly all her life and really enjoyed it. She was quick to make us feel welcome and offered such clean, reasonably-priced (albeit small) rooms, that we would surely come back again. A couple of larger units are available, but the 'motel rooms' have a...
