Hostal El Lobo with its nice rooms, equipped with fans and their view on the river, is an amazing place to take a break. You can lay back next to the swimmingpool, planning your next tour to the Selva or Pampa, thanks to a good wifi connection. Also if you feel like playing there is another type of pool: pool tables to spend time with others backpackers, a beer or a caipirinha in your free hand! Finally, you can enjoy great tacos everynight with fresh local products and veggie options.
The vew is amazing ! The staff super friendly and helpfull ! The room very confortable and clean! The price totally correct! Dont hesitate go To rest in the pool with a good cocktail before going in the jungle.
Loved the pool area during the day. Nice couch, enough chairs and stretchers. Great place to escape the heat during the hot days. Rooms were pretty basic tough, without a fan and a very basic bathroom. Got pretty noisy as well in the night, but that was to be expected from a hostel during the weekend. WiFi was only functional some of the time, which in my experience is the case all over rurrenebaque. Breakfast was great, had a basic buffet.
I was supposed to stay here for a night or two but I felt so relaxed here after travelling a lot that I stayed for a week. The breakfast is nice, rooms are clean, the location is perfect (close to town but also more peacefull than in the middle of the town), the staff was super friendly and the pool is very nice. I could stay here for ever but unfortunately I had to keep on moving. :D
The tacos and view were great. Rooms were oke with clamboos and the beds were good. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain and could not use the swimming pool. Breakfast is oke and we went back after he pampas tour and we could store our backpacks. Because it is build for the warmth you could hear a lot of noises from other rooms and the street theat didn’t botter me. Internet sometimes fails
We chosed this hotel due to its Pool and proximity to the river, as we were looking for a place to relax foe one entire day. We changed the hostel directly. The rooms, especially the bath room were grubby and dirty. We had traveled a lot to this time and were familiar with a certain uncleanliness. But here, it was too much. The pool area was the same. Aditionally we considered this area as quite impersal and lovelessly set up. They do have a pool, but all the sourrounding was not welcomming. One of the staff members was in such a bad mood, that we, as guests, had the feeling of not beeing welcome.
Is a nice hostel, so clean and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended. Diogo was a great receptionist. ALso is well located in Rurrenabaque, about 10 minutes away from Airport. Breakfast was delicious, for me, was the best from this place.
Stayed for three nights, the first night in a dorm and the latter two in a private room. The dorm was nice, I enjoyed the fact that unlike most hostels I've encountered throughout my travels, Bolivia doesn't go in for bunk beds. Moved to private rooms when they were available and we both thought that the balcony area was a really lovely addition to the room whilst the kettle etc was also handy. The pool was lovely to have and the breakfast provided was much better than some of the other places we stayed. There was good internet around the pool area but in the private room it occasionally dipped. Anyone who moans about those sort of things should just stay at home in my opinion, for the price you pay you get an excellent deal with beautiful views, a gorgeous pool and the best restaurant around just next door.…
I arrived to rurrenabaque looking for a place to stay and found the wolf a place a bit away from the center but from the moment you enter you feel at home the staff always with a smile when we go up to the room the beds very comfortable at night try the tacos very good option they have vegetarian breakfast very rich they explain you of the different activities that you can perform just perfect
How anyone could give this place half a star is beyond me. The epitome of a dump and I’m happy to tell you why: - each room only has 2 walls. Yes, I said it - only 2 walls. If you like sleeping to the pleasant sounds of all night dog fights, motorcycle races, and hostel parties than this is the place for you. - mosquito nets smell like pee/not large enough for the bed. It didn’t make much sense to us that a mosquito net meant for a twin bed was placed over a queen bed. Also didn’t make much sense that it smelled like piss. - people can see directly into your shower. Are you a female? Better bring a towel to place over the screen in the shower to avoid your male neighbor taking a peak while you shower - do you love not having WiFi? This is your place. - enjoy bugs? How about bed bugs? Was eaten alive at this place. Better debug your bag religiously before heading home after this place. Also is in a bad location and the laundry was expensive. I could go on and on.…
