Do not expect to communicate with people around you. Nobody can speak English. However, you can find this is a quality establishment for stay. The public bath was an interesting experience. Try to walk with bathing suites and slippers. Everybody is doing the same thing. The dining hall is the climax of your experience in life. Life is to rest...

Having visited it on a daily basis, we tried staying there. The food is impeccable, as is the service. The onsen in your room, on the balcony is superb. I highly recommend staying here. The larger out door (rotenburo) is among my favourite's in Japan. It' simply beautiful, and Ive been there > 10x.

You can catch a bus from Hirosaki station. It's in the Mt. Iwaki. They have spacious natural hot spring indoor and outdoor. You can stay but you can just visit and stay half day in there to take bath and lunch. They are always clean! I like that place!

I tend not to like ryokans that are relatively big, but this one was a great exception! Really really nice and big room, great onsen including rotenburo (outdoor Japanese bath), and really good food. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go again!

As it was my first stay in an onsen I do not have the possibility to compare, but some things I can say: - The whole place looks very traditional, in a positive way. Loved the room with the minimalistic interior...
