When ever we travel I try to find a location that will disconnect us from electronics and television. As well as offer us something to do that will help us to connect with each other. Guemes Island Resort offered that. We stayed in cabin #4, which includes a small living/dining area with fireplace, a small but very functional kitchen with... More

First time here. Beautiful place and the weather couldn't have been better. Stayed in a yurt. Two children with us, 8 and 6. The children had plenty to do as we caught and cleaned over a hundred crab in three days they played with other children. They have enough amenities to make it comfortable. Staff have been great. I will... More

I visited this property for a wedding. I was just a random guest, but as far as the wedding went it was a completely awesome venue for casual spirited fun. I may or may not have had one of the best hours of my life jamming with everybody by the campfire. Then the real magic happened -- I left my... More

We stayed a few nights in one of their Yurts. Very clean, comfortable and pretty large too so no problem for our family of four. Thank goodness, it had a heater as the nights are very cold. Fun getting there on a cool ferry. Beautiful remote area and the resort has easy water access for kayaking and beautiful views.

Guemes Island review Our stay at Guemes Island Resort was a joyful end to an 800 mile one way trip. The cabins were clean and comfortable. We came for a wedding and spent two days enjoying the beauty of the resort (no TV) . The landscape is well kept, and being that the island and the resort is dog friendly... More

Beautiful stay. Bring your own food. Small accommodation, but has everything you need. Kids spent hours just skipping rocks. Views are unsurpassable. We took advantage of row boats & sauna. No tvs, which was perfect. Plenty of wildlife. Such a hidden gem. Will return!!

We just spent a really nice overnight with our family of parents, three adult children and one grandchild. Stayed in the Mt. Baker house and had a great time from the moment we arrived. Try crabbing in season.

Our family has been visiting Guemes Island Resort every summer for years. Views of Mt. Baker and the San Juan Islands from the cabins near the water are spectacular. These cabins are generally run down, and although the owners have recently done a good job with minor renovations and new landscaping, at some point they should probably be replaced. Furnishings... The resort is really great with spectacular views and very quaint! I went there last weekend and stayed in the Matia. This cabin was fairly new had a 2 person hot tub. It was small but nice. The scenery is really great and we lucked out with perfect weather all weekend! This weekend we decided to go back and stay... More

We had friends tell us about this place for a rustic relaxing experience. We were for the most part, not disappointed. We arrived to a nice warm rustic cabin (#6) which they got a fire going ahead of time. (Be aware, that if you get one of the beachfront cabins, they are about 90% heated by woodstove- there are 2... “bring your own food, and woodstove skills if staying in a cabin. Check the ferry schedule before you leave.. No TV's in cabins, so bring some good conversation, cards or games, or go to the Rec Room.”

“If you want a new cabin, pay a little more for beautifully built and furnished one bedroom spots. There are two large houses, too, for big family groups. The Salish House is lovely and modern. The older cabins are right on the beach, and perfect if you don't mind somewhat older construction. The wheel chair accessible cabin worked beautifully.”

“Cabins and houses have views but are more expensive. Yurts are much les expensive and you can always walk down the trail to spend the rest of the day at the waterfront if you want.”
