If it wasn’t for the kindness of the hotel staff and other comforts of the hotel I would have given one star. These are the main things we were dissatisfied with: 1) the WiFi was terrible, I can’t emphasize this enough. On the first night it was cutting in and out, plus the Direct TV went out and we had to reset it. When I asked at the front desk they apologized for forgetting to tell me the signal is best in the bedroom, but even in that room it was spotty at best. This lasted our entire stay (2 nights, was supposed to be 3 but we checked out early). 2) we had a king suite which was a roomy space, but the heating and a/c was in the bedroom and did not reach into the living room. You either had to be ice cold in the bedroom to be comfortable in the living room, or comfortable in the bedroom and steaming hot in the living area. The living area did have a ceiling fan but it can only help so much. 3) it was a full kitchen but with key items missing, like dish towels, a cutting board, and any bakeware for the oven. 4) cleanliness - the bathtub had mold stains in the grout, and in the hallway was a garbage with a note from that occupant saying that garbage was in the room when they checked in. 5) despite being in the king suite there was no Mountain View as advertised. The website is great at selling the hotel for more than what it is. Breakfast was closed due to COVID so cant comment on that. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but ended up checking out early for a partial night refund.

We stayed two nights at Sunrise Inn Villas and suites, in a deluxe king room. This property has been very well maintained, and our room had been nicely updated. The room was spacious and immaculate. I enjoyed several soaks in the jacuzzi tub after hiking all over the island. This is one of the cleanest, nicest and most well appointed rooms I have stayed in at a great price! The staff was warm and inviting. The location is walkable to a very cool marina and historic downtown area. This was our first time to Anacortes and we fell in love. Beaches are hidden around the island....you just have to find them. Deer roam free...everywhere! They just stroll through the beautiful neighborhoods. You will for sure need to drive to see all the sights, but the island is very easy to navigate. I can't wait to come back, and I will certainly stay here again! The only suggestion I have for the hotel would be to add a few more pillows to the bed...but I am a pillow freak. I sleep alone and have 8 pillows on my bed. Overall, an absolutely lovely stay at a great hotel!

Aside from the ever expensive Majestic Inn, I would have to say this is the best hotel hands down in Anacortez. Most other hotels are surprisingly a bit rundown, but Sunrise Inn takes very good care to keep things very clean. All the rooms are now updated with a fresh look and we always feel very comfortable when we stay. The continental breakfast is great with a nice daily selection of fresh items. We'll be back soon.

Overpriced for what it offers. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, but the furniture is dated and a bit beat up - the table and chairs look as if they were recycled from a public institution. Their ads are deceptive regarding position and views. Our room (as well as several others) was located on and had a view of a back alley! Breakfast was OK.

We arrived after dinner to crash before catching the 830 ferry to Sidney the next morning. You have to get to the ferry an hour before departure so we wanted something close. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower was hot. We had no view. It was raining. The breakfast was light, yogurt, bagels, hard boiled eggs. Not a place to lounge, but good for a stopover. I would stay again.
