I noticed in my last visit to Northern Quest, they changed their procedures on how all their Blackjack dealers play. Whereas they appeared to have stopped the traditional way of keeping the same hold card down every time they deal their hands. In that visit, their dealers placed both of their cards face down and then separated them apart side by side. By appearance the dealers were studying which card they will flip over. I've never witnessed dealers (in any casino) studying, touching or feeling both of their cards while both cards are face down while those cards were separated side by side of each other, while the dealer taking extra time to decide which card they decide to flip over. I saw seasoned dealers taking about 2 to 3 seconds to decide which card they to flip over and which card to leave face down, while other dealers (in some cases) taking more than 5 seconds to decide which card to expose while touching or feeling both cards at the same time. The win rate for the house shifted even more in their favor than any other time I visited since I began playing blackjack at Northern Quest. I have stopped playing Blackjack there and never intend to play there again, with the exception of sports wagering and dinner. Not sure if the noticeable markings in the back of each card makes a difference, (or something else) which may be construed as preventing players from cheating, however the players are never allowed to touch their cards. However, the random hold card selections by the dealers, often times gave the house more advantages as it appeared the card they choose to flip over, effected players decision to hold or take another card. I can see how some players may have the impression that the house is cheating, whether there are or are not cheating.

Real nice facility. Had to level out a bit, but nothing difficult. Sites are spaced decently, and the pull-throughs are quite long for big rigs/vehicles. I only interacted with the front desk registration staff, and they were helpful and efficient. They have a TON of rules/regulations, but nothing outlandish. It is gated, and you are given a code to enter/exit after hours. During regular business hours, you can get a shuttle to the casino (if that's your gig). I'm no gambler, so I can't offer specific info other than they have the service. Their covered common areas are nice, with several BBQ grills available. Clean restrooms and showers. We would certainly stay here again. It was a nice little Mom & Dad overnighter...

The rooms are nice. The problem is the check in. We arrived at 215pm to see if our room was ready. The front desk person had me sign many forms about no smoking, check out time, pets, $50 deposit all to get to the part where the room wasn't ready. Np problem. Check in is at 4pm. I asked him when the room would be ready. 4pm was check in. Yes I know that. Could they test me when my room was ready. No. How would I know when the room would be ready? You can just come back and stand in line and we'll let you know. So we left for about an hour and came back at 315. Another person "helped" us and said the room wasn't ready, check in was at 4. Yes, I know that. She said that it might be ready by 430 maybe 5pm. I said but the check in is at 4pm. Makes no difference to her. It's ready when it's ready. And how will I know when it's ready? Stand in line yet again and keep asking. Not just at 4pm but keep coming up because it won't be ready. The front desk staff is like talking to robots. They make no sense. And couldn't care less about customer service. Neither does front desk management. They sent me a survey after the stay. I listed these problems and before 4pm the manager responded, said sorry and basically too bad. This is really too bad because the rooms are really nice. Oh well. Common sense does not prevail at this front desk.

Two issues - I've come multiple times to try out the new bar - Highball. It's supposed to be a speakeasy type of place. I wouldn't know because both times I've tried to go it's been a fail. They aren't open all days of the week and the app doesn't reflect that. I called to confirm they'd be open tonight when I was I town. I got here and it's closed for a private function. Dinner at Epic Sports bar was literally the worst meal I've tried. The first try was a hummus, veggie flatbread. Stale, No flavor, inconsistent hummus on the bread so the huge chunks of veg wouldn't stay on. Second attempt was Indian Flatbread. The bread was good - the taco meat was seriously hot as F. My drink was good except for the dried out hunk of lime that I tried to squeeze into my gin. My server was great - so there's that.

Amenities and all are ok, dining options are ok, but there was not a lot of room. Availability on the tables was pretty good and the dealers and put bosses very professional. Issue . Paying $7 a drink when you are dropping $$$$ on the table is just silly. Not saying this is Vegas but I can drive to Spokane, fly to Vegas, stay in a hotel, gamble, eat and stay for less than can stay at Northquest. In fact in the future that’s what I may do. What a disappointment. Staff were very good in general.

We parked in the RV park for 4 nights in early July. We found the interior roads easy to navigate and each site had a nice concrete pad and a patch of green grass next to it. Our pull through site was plenty long enough and wide enough for our 40ft fifth wheel. It was hot when we were there and unfortunately the park is quite new and the trees are not yet big enough to provide shade. While the park was nice, it was pricey! What ever happened to casinos with inexpensive RV parking. At over $75 a night this is not a bargain. They do offer a 15% discount for players card holders and they give points, but no one mentioned this at check in. When we got our card the second day at the casino, we learned of the discount. So we went into the office and asked for an adjustment. We were told they could only adjust for the nights we hadn’t stayed yet. They couldn’t adjust the first 2 nights. Really? Why not? Wouldn’t that be good customer service? And by the amount of new construction, they obviously aren’t suffering financially. Anyway, the location, while convenient to the casino (they offer a shuttle), restaurants, a convenience store, and a movie theater, it is not very quiet. There is a busy road nearby as well as air traffic at times. Unfortunately there isn’t much to pick from in this area when we are heading back to the Seattle/Tacoma area. So we will probably stop here again for a day or two when passing through, but this time I’ll at least be prepared and get the discount. Also, they are super picky about early check in and there check in time is 1:00. It would have worked better for us to come in a little early and we called and were told we couldn’t check in until 1:00. Also there was a man arguing with the desk about the fact he was pulling out late and was going to be charged an entire extra day as it was just minutes after 2 o’clock. Be aware of there check in and check out times and policies. Most places are much more flexible and while many charge for late check out it isn’t usually an entire extra night. As for the casino, good food in the Asian restaurant but tight casino slots.

Noisiest RV park I have ever stayed in. Sandwiched between Spokane Intl Airport and Fairchild AFB, constant overhead big jets, day and night. Road in front is main road, constant truck and construction traffic, plus noisy commuters, cars and motorcycles. Dog park near our area was constant barking. Sprinklers run every night and leave water spots on RV and truck. High crime area, always a siren going by. Railroad is close and trains are always honking. The pool was closed due to "unhealthy due to smoke decided by management" but it was healthy enough for us to stay in the RV Park. Public toilet room was out of toilet paper. Worst RV park I have ever visited, would not stay here again if it was free.
