This motel is in a very bad location as the area has a big homeless problem. Some homeless person/s tried to get in to several guestrooms during the night, screaming and shouting from midnight until 05.00. The management did not call the police until 5am, guests including my wife and I were terrified. Our phones did not work and we were isolated in our rooms with no sleep. Police arrived eventually and made arrests. Most if not all guests left after some confrontations with the manager. I feel this is probably an ongoing issue and the owners need to make proper security arrangements otherwise people should not expose themselves to serious and potentially dangerous consequences.

When we walked in there was a strong perfume order—we later realized it was to cover up the fact that someone had been smoking in there. On a busy street, so it’s noisy. Few plugs and none by the beds. Wifi sucked. TP holder is in a very awkward spot. But the beds were okay and the pillows were nice. You can walk to a Mexican Restaurant or Denny’s.

I checked in in the afternoon, tossed my stuff into the room and caught a faint whiff of cigarette smoke, but someone was smoking nearby and I had to get back on the road for a rehearsal dinner for my friend’s wedding. I got back to the hotel just after midnight and realized that the cigarette smell was INSIDE the room. It was musty and the air was stale, so I opened the window to get some fresh air. And then I realized how unsafe that was, closed it, and turned on the AC in the hopes that might filter the air some. It didn’t make it worse, but it certainly didn’t make it better. When I went to the bathroom, there was visible mold on the floor in front of the bathtub (not even in the caulking crack, but on the floor itself), which was concerning as well. By the time I washed my hands, I was already struggling to breathe. I ultimately realized I couldn’t stay there if I also wanted to keep breathing so I went to the front office to let them know I couldn’t stay due to the quality of the room and that I wanted my money back. I found that while the front office is brightly lit at night, it’s not staffed after 10 pm, but there is an on-call number. I called and advised of the situation. The man I spoke with said the maids would have to check the room in the morning and they wouldn’t be able to give me a refund if they didn’t smell the cigarette smoke. This was annoying/frustrating for two reasons: 1) the maids would’ve cleaned this room before I used it. They either noticed the smell and didn’t care or were nose blind to it (it smelled so old, I’m wondering if it came from the carpet, which looked like it hadn’t been replaced since hotels became non-smoking) 2) whether they smelled it or not, my body was having a physical allergic reaction I figured: safety first, money later and started packing up my car. My breathing got worse and I was going into anaphylaxis. (Not my first anaphylactic rodeo, but terrifying when alone in a strange town.) I took my first epi pen in between my first and second trip to load the car. And when I went back into the room, I kept my mask on except for the picture and video to document what was happening. I was originally planning on just sleeping in my car that night, but in spite of the epi pen, the anaphylaxis was continuing to progress. Slight silver lining: the local ER is only 7 minutes from this hotel. I got to the ER (taking a second epi pen on my way there) and by the time I got in, I couldn’t talk. Thankfully, I have an “in case of emergency” anaphylaxis card in my wallet that I handed over along with my used epi pens. IV Benadryl and steroids along with an albuterol nebulizer got me breathing again. I’m now on a course of post-anaphylaxis prednisone, which is its own special hell. When I got out of the ER 4-5 hours later, I called the hotel’s on call number again and was sent to voicemail. I left a message advising of how the night played out, that I wanted a full refund, and that I wanted a call back confirming. I received neither. I was supposed to stay at this hotel for two nights. The second night I slept in my car as I didn’t have any more epi pens with me, so I didn’t even feel safe trying a different hotel. I’m currently contesting the charges with my credit card company, but this was a horrible experience all around. The lack of cleanliness triggered a medical event. Instead of showing concern or even a modicum of customer service, I was brushed off and fully charged for both nights plus an additional separate charge of $65 for some reason. (Also being contested.) Save yourselves. Stay anywhere else.

Stayed here many times over the past 15 years (class reunions and visiting our old hometown) and always have a good stay and a clean room. The price is right and Denny's restaurant is one block east or a very nice Mexican restaurant 2 blocks West, which are very convenient. This is our "go-to" place everytime we go back to Aberdeen and we just booked again for this coming weekend. ;-)

Booked on line ... mostly because of reasonable price, so was concerned because it's an older place. Was pleasantly surprised, All redone, clean and friendly. Like new. Gigantic rooms! Would definitely stay here again.

First impression upon entering the room....what's that smell? Once I got used to the smell I sat down to relax and my arm was scratched by something sharp sticking out of the armrest of the love seat. It was about that time that I noticed the exposed bulbs in the ceiling light fixture. Trying to turn on the TV I realize why there are two remotes, one will not change the channel, the other will not control the volume. The red splatter on the wall was only paint or nail polish...i hope. But here is the kicker. Upon getting out of the shower I noticed USED TOILET PAPER on the floor behind the toilet. Not mine and nobody else staying there. When i checked out, of course nobody was in the office. I emailed my complaint only to get a form letter response. I asked for a personal response and have received nothing. If you are going to be in Aberdeen, find somewhere else to stay.

I booked a single-king room well ahead (for 6/10/21) and paid full freight, $110. Here is what I got: The check-in clerk was friendly. The bedding was clean, and there were no noisy neighbors, maybe because there were no neighbors (few vehicles were in the parking lot). But one of the room’s security locks was busted; there was a shocking 10” stain on the carpet across from the sink; the heat register in the bathroom was banged up; the coffee provisions included 2 decafs, no regular; the bed felt old, and whatever its material, it retained heat so well that I had to change position repeatedly, even with the AC set at 68; the malfunctioning old toilet required me to hold down the lever to get a full flush; and in the morning, around 9:00, I found the front office locked, with only a box in which to drop the key. (Was the clerk cowering?) I hate writing negative reviews, but of the nine places I stayed during my circuit of Washington State, this was indubitably the worst, and the three-star TripAdvisor rating makes me question the authenticity of the reviews in TripAdvisor. Of course, it's always possible that my room at this establishment was anomalously bad. But if so, why was it assigned to me---or to anyone?

Having stayed in 100s of hotels, these rooms are amazing in their size, the beds are super comfortable, the refrigerators have a freezer with actual space you can use, the internet works! and the staff are super nice. The location is very convenient and the price is great too. I have been here on a weekly basis for months after a not so great time at the nearby brand hotel and am very happy the I decided to support a local business.

Having to arrange an unexpected trip to Aberdeen on a Saturday afternoon is not without risk and there were plenty. No rooms in Aberdeen. After many 'Nos', Sorry's & 'Are you Nuts?', finally connected with Olympic Inn. Explained situation and (I believe her name is Rosemary} she took it as a personal challenge to come up with a room. Which she did. So,4 stars for effort and conscience. The place is ok, clean (very!) location is good and like the old time motels - park in front of your door. Not a Four Seasons but adequate for one night. Everything worked and was provided. Bed was great. Obviously a redo of a traditional Hwy 101 Motel, meets the standards for the area. Would recommend the motel and would love to hire Rosemary!

Easy to find, spacious room but as a non-smoker the smell of old smoke was quite off-putting. It is an older building so expect older amenities. The bed was comfortable, unit was clean but I would not have stayed had I known it was not a non-smoking building.
