Hotel is not maintained well or cleaned well. The pillows and sofa were old, worn out, and even ripped. The cleaning is unreliable. The front desk is not sure what’s going on. Hotel restaurant closed.
It's laughable to charge for parking at a suburban Embassy Suites that just has an uncovered surface lot. And I'm not talking about charging to leave my car there for a week while I fly out of Dulles, I mean to park one night while you're staying. I hope management enjoys that $7, because they've lost my future business. The hotel needs to be updated, it looks tired. And while I don't understand why they haven't yet resumed the manager reception in the evening, proactively advertising it around the facility and then not having it is not a great look. Overall this place screams of a management company that is trying to squeeze the last dollar out of an older property.
Mostly clean. Great, friendly staff. Nice spacious rooms. Overall had a nice stay. The bathroom floors weren’t very clean and the shower curtain let all the water out on the floor. Elevators stay stagnant for a long time before moving on to the next floor. Overall is a good hotel though and would stay there again.
NOT Hilton quality... I am a frequent Hilton guest whenever I am traveling and am usually very pleased with my stays. However, this Hilton stay between the Embassy Suites and the attached Homewood Suites was the worst that I have ever had. My family and my parents booked two separate rooms for our stay at the Homewood Suites - Dulles/North Loudoun. Upon checking into the room we typically sanitize and check the beds. Upon checking our bed it appeared that they had just made up the bed from a previous guest and not changed the sheets. We found multiple stains in the sheets to include what appeared to be dried blood stains. We also found hair in the bed. My parents checked their bed as well and found multiple stains as well as hair in their sheets. We called the front desk and housekeeping brought us each new sheets. Instead of changing the sheets they just handed them to us, which was essentially saying, change the sheets yourself. When my parents stripped their bed they found that the bed was saturated in dried urine. We first flipped the mattress, however, the decision was later made to change rooms. Because we were assisting our parents we needed to be near them. However, they did not have any other comparable rooms near each other in the Homewood Suites. The receptionist was kind enough to switch us over to the Embassy Suites hotel which is physically connected to the Homewood Suites. The rooms were in better condition than the previous. However, the Embassy Suites was not without its own issues. When requesting sheets to put on the pull out couch for our child we were told by another receptionist that housekeeping was off duty. We were then told that they did not have any extra sheets and we could request sheets in the morning. That was unacceptable as we were not going to have our child sleep on a bare mattress in a hotel (remember the urine stained mattress?). After explaining that several times, the receptionist finally understood that we were not taking no for an answer and went and obtained sheets. In short, it appeared that he did not feel like leaving the desk and essentially lied to us in order not to leave. The next evening we went to get an extra set of towels for our room because they had only left two sets in the room after cleaning. I was told by the same receptionist that the hotel was completely booked and they did not have any towels available. What hotel does not have extra towels? I'm assuming that these "Hilton" in name only hotels are both run by the same franchise owner. Needless to say, we will not be staying at this set of hotels ever again.…
I guess I’m spoiled at other hotels. This one very clearly missed the mark. Signs that say the room is clean right next to disgusting counter and mirror. Service staff entered room uninvited. Room was missing the iron and the ceiling and exhaust fans had this weird orange/brown dirt/grime collecting on it.
