This hotel is fine. It is a little dated and the decor is tired which seems to be acknowledged by a rate that was considerably less than other properties in the area. The room was spacious and the location was convenient to the metro. They had a gym with good options.
My mother was stranded during a layover and was provided a voucher here by the airlines for only one night rather than the two until her new flight date. She was very panicked, I called ahead to book her a room for a second night so she wouldn’t have to worry about finding another place to go or pay for. I got in touch with Tyreek who happened to be working the front desk that night. I told him about the situation, how panicked she was and how I wanted to ensure she was taken care of while she stayed there. TYREEK DID THE MOST AMAZING JOB MAKING MY MOM WELCOMED AND HELPING HER GET COMFORTABLE. I cannot express the gratitude I have for him! My mother called me when she got to the room and said “he practically met me at the door and he got me into the room so I could get comfortable”. Tyreek then called me back to verify the booking on the second night for my mom and got it squared away. Better yet, he ensured that she didn’t pay for anything out of her pocket (per my request) and charged any additional items to the room. Tyreek had grace, patience, and enthusiasm the entirety of this situation and I couldn’t be more appreciative. THANK YOU TYREEK!…
Hotel was fine for a business meeting, but not great especially for the rates being charged at the time. Furniture is old and worn, cordless phone battery was dead. Lack of room service menu is unfortunate for business travelers, although you can order food from the lobby bar in a takeout format if you need in room dining. On the plus side the staff were great - very professional and helpful at the front desk, when ordering food, and with the airport shuttle. Renovated shower was very nice, although it was a bit strange how much it outclassed the rest of the room decor and amenities.
Stayed here for the last couple of weeks on a business trip. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. What really sells this place is the location though. It’s just far enough from DC to be affordable, but you’re still only a $10 Uber ride from the National Mall. Meanwhile there are multiple food options, a CVS, a 7-11, and a liquor store all within a 5 minute walk. Literally everything you need for a home-base while exploring the nation’s capital.
The Front Desk Manager Gabby really set the atmosphere for me to have an outstanding experience at the hotel. I arrived three hours late due to airline carrier delay. Gabby professionalism, kind spirit, knowledge of the area, and explaining to me the details in the questions I had, and making suggestions made a lifesaving difference. She shared helpful information about parking, the meals provided, and areas to visit that were close to my interest. Gabby is the BEST and is a KEEPER. I give her 5 stars plus! The day before checkout, I received a text that my flight was canceled. I took one of Gabby's suggestions and I made the necessary quick adjustments which allowed me to rebook a flight leaving earlier the next morning and take the shutter to the airport. When you check in, I hope Gabby is your Front Desk Manager. Because of her, I will be staying at this hotel when I visit the area in the future.…
It was a nice catch on Priceline. Hotel was awesome. Portier helped with the meal vouchers. Parking a bit expensive. 42 overnight. But overall service and quality of the rooms is on the top notch level. Close to the downtown of Washington. Nice restaurant and buffet. So I and my family is happy 😊
First time staying at this hotel for a weekend in DC. It was a snap to find coming from I95. When we arrived no parking or rooms were available. Shout out to the front desk staff for securing parking and getting us our room with miminal waiting. The breakfast buffet was great and the host was ready with the coffee. That alone is 5 stars in my book. We'll def return and I recommend this property.
The Front Desk Manager GINO along with the Front Desk Agent Clayton are the BEST!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 1000!!! I arrived at the hotel not in a good space. After interacting with these two they made it all better and didn't even know it! THANKS GUYS!!!
This is a great location within walking distance of several restaurants. It's important because the hotel restaurant is only open for dinner. All staff were helpful. Clayton Gino ensured everything went well. It was convenient to have an airport shuttle too.
I had a very nice stay it was a lovely hotel .I never slept in a bed so comfy.the only thing I suggest is safety bars in shower .I know you have handicapped but I don't need one.im 72 just was afraid of falling nothing to grab ahold of .other then that I give them a 3 star
