Excellent location. Parking is $39/day with in and out privileges. The exterior is dated, 70s/80s architecture, inside is updated. The room is comfortable, with a good bed. Most importantly, the hotel is clean.
The hotel was nice, clean, close to Metro transit and restaurants. However, the water was lukewarm at best. Had maintenance check it out and was told "that's just the temperature." Called front desk and moved us to another room on another floor, no hot water. Was hot the following day and then the next 2 days of our stay it was back to tepid. It was colder than what you would bathe an infant in. Brrrrrrr. Won't be back! If you prefer cold showers then you will be fine.
This is a nice hotel located close to the airport. The shuttle is available on demand or you can take a Lyft for about $12. The staff here were all very pleasant. The room needs a little updating and the shower didn’t get that hot but the bed was comfortable and there’s a couch for lounging.
My flight was canceled and I received a voucher for the Westin Cristal City. Cassandra the night audit manager proved to me that during these times of chaos with Covid, customer service still exists in its utmost form. I arrived at the hotel past midnight and my flight was scheduled for early evening that next day. Checkout was set for 11am and I had no where to go for the 7 hours before my flight. The last place I wanted to be was in the airport sitting there for 7 hours. Cassandra immediately offered me a late check out of 3pm and some great information regarding the area surrounding the hotel and late night food delivery services. I felt at home. After my long and grueling trip of cancelations and layovers she made my stay most comfortable. She was a breathe of fresh air, kind, assertive and knowledgeable. I myself have worked in hospitality for 18 years and she went above and beyond her job description to make me feel comfortable and at home. This is the first review I have ever written. Thank you Cassandra for making my stay most peaceful.…
Needed to get away and this area is great location due to lower weekend rates and access to so much in the DC area. The hotel is a little tired to be honest with a bit of a stale smell in the rooms but the are clean and acceptable. It is not a huge complex with just the one restaurant and lobby bar with both being closed due to the plague. They do accommodate Platinum members and above as well as people booked on breakfast rates by having you fill out a form the day before with grab and go bag options which you pick up in the morning. I give this property five stars due to going above and beyond to serve guests during this difficult operating period. Other Marriott managed properties did not do so well and I have a long memory. I recommend the Westin they will take care of you. …
