The hotel is fine, even nice. I liked the "pour" in the lobbibar. The hotel is not very close to the Crystal City WMATA stop, almost a mile, so being a transit person and staying at this hotel takes some wangling. What I ended up doing was using the hotel's airport shuttle, which leaves every 20 minutes, to get to the DCA blue/yellow stop. A tip for the driver is reasonable. (You could probably sneak onto the Hilton's bus too - it's not far from the Hyatt - but I don't counsel it as it's a bit mean.) I didn't get daily service for my room, which annoys me. It may be that I needed to ask for it - I assumed that in these long-past-covid days we no longer needed to. It's also possible that my room's DND hanger (I slept in, then didn't notice it till I returned from breakfast at the McDonalds across the street around 10:30) caused the issue. I dunno. The internet seems good, and the room was in good order. Many good eateries are close-ish: Ruth's Chris, Chipotle, BWW, etc. I actually flew into / out of IAD. Using the shuttle to get to IAD via DCA and the blue & silver lines took me about 75 minutes on a weekend morning. I'm guessing 90 minutes at the outside (WMATA trains are few ad far between) but YMMV.…
The employees at this amazing hotel are fabulous. The rooms are spotless and the beds are so comfortable. The airport shuttle and proximity to important places is helpful! The food was very tasty and appealing. A+++++++
To start the facility puts a hold on your account for the price of the entire stay and in addition charges for the stay. Second you have to pay extra for everything including to just have a microwave in your room which should be standard for the price. Also I prepaid what was supposed to be 35 dollars a day for parking and then was charged 40. Overall not very satisfied.
I was traveling for a conference & The Hyatt served as our host hotel. The Hyatt had wonderful ground transportation to/from DCA. The hotel amenities are great & the customer service is phenomenal. We also enjoyed a networking dinner on The Rooftop where the food was fabulous. I’m planning another trip to the DC area in July & plan to return to the hotel.
The staff at the Hyatt were very helpful in getting me checked in even though they were very busy at that time. The cleaning crew for the rooms provided excellent service and made sure the rooms were ready to go when we arrived.
This Hyatt is exceptional. From the time you walk into the door until the day you leave, you will completely satisfied that you are in the best place that you can be. The front desk staff, the servers in the dining areas, the bar tenders and especially the cleaning staff are better than the best. I would stay here again without any hesitation.
The suites are extremely small and not worth the extra money what so ever. Room was in very poor condition: lights that would flicker all weekend, bathroom door that wouldn’t close all the way, toilets that barely flushed. Hotel texted less than 48 hours out about changes to their room policies as well after we were committed to the trip. Just a really poor experience overall from a hotel that did not care at all about us having a good stay. Definitely better options in Arlington and surrounding areas.
I have always had a positive experience at his Hyatt. This last stay was accentuated by the great customer service I received when I inadvertently left three chargers in the room when I checked out. I called them immediately after I realized I had left them (I was already home), was connected to security who checked with housekeeping and was able to arrange collection. Everyone was extremely helpful from Housekeeping, security and the front desk to get this matter resolved. Thank you, we really appreciate your professionalism!
This is a very nice hotel for conference use, and other business related activities. They cover all the bases from quality food choices, to great meeting spaces, and afterward lounge experience. Many restaurants within walking distance.
Overall this was an excellent stay. Staff were extremely helpful on three occasions: 1- Letting me know there was no internal passage from the hotel to the garage where I parked. 2- Getting me the keys to my room when the app didn't allow me to check-in 3- Checking a suitcase after check-out As said before, the app said check-in would be at 4:00 and that I would be notified when the room was ready, but by 5:00, there weren't any updates on the app. The front desk staff member was able to give me the keys immediately, so something on Hyatt's side wasn't working right.
