The location was great and the staff very accommodating. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff willing to please. On-site restaurant and bar were a bonus. Close to restaurants and the metro. Prefer Uber.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Had booked a room with 1 bed as this was all that was available online. Manager at the desk offered to change me to a 2 bed room which better suited my family and allocated my group, rooms together. Starbucks located in the hotel which was very conveinient for quick breakfast and shops and Metro within easy walking distance. All staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant next to the lobby has Happy hour on selected food and drink
Booked via IHG for 126$US. One night in August 2022. Waited 20 minutes for shuttle at DCA; arrived early at hotel, around 10AM and room was not ready, so we left our bags and took a Uber to DC for the day, Arriving in the evening from our visit, our room was ready. Nice room with 2 doubles bed, good TV, nice bathroom, all good. Decent gym with plenty of equipment. Took the first shuttle at 4h30AM (on time) to get to our early flight. All went well.
Me and my boyfriend missed our connecting flight due to the irresponsibility of American Airlines. They advised us we would be staying at the Crowne Plaza for a night, to catch the first flight out to NYC. After an upsetting night, we arrived at the Crowne Plaza at approximately 11:30 pm. The Guest Service Agents were not at all welcoming. They were dry and with an impassive looks on their faces. I chose to bypass that since we had a long night. We were checked into room 718. As we tried to get settled in for the few hours we had before our early morning flight, we attempted to turn on the tv. It was nonfunctional. We called the front desk. There was no greeting. I was asked what was wrong with the tv. The young woman responded by saying someone would be on their way up, and NO ONE arrived. At our check out, the man behind the front desk didn’t say a word to us. All he did was whip out a clear box and gestured to place the keys inside. There was no thank you, did not ask us how our stay was …. Absolutely nothing! I work in a hotel myself as a HR Manager. This is disgusting and unacceptable! Staff should be friendly, engaging, warm and welcoming at any time of the day. It is common for people to be inconvenienced and displaced during their travels. When arriving at a hotel they should be made to feel welcomed and cared for. I refuse to be believe guests voluntarily pay money to stay at this establishment. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. This first impression is forever lasting one.…
This is one of many airport hotels in close proximity to DCA. I found this to be a nice, easy option for an early morning flight or a late arrival. Pros: 1) The room was in great condition. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the suite was well laid out. 2) The WiFi was fast and reliable. 3) The staff were all friendly and helpful. 4) The fitness center had a lot of choices and the equipment was all in good condition. Cons: 1) At $40, the parking fee was a little pricey. This isn’t the cheapest option nor is it the most expensive. 2) There were no outlets within 4’ of the bed. This wasn’t a huge deal but a minor inconvenience. Overall, this was a really good option and if I find myself needing another hotel close to DCA, I’ll be back.
Our first trip to DC was amazing! Staying here was definitely part of that experience! Everything from checking in, to checking out was good. I will say the best part of our stay was Dewit. He was so nice & took us so many places. He definitely went above and beyond. Please take care of him - good employees are hard to find!!
Stayed here for a business trip in DC. The common areas are fine, and restaurants onsite offer quality meals and service. However, my room smelled stale, arm chair was soiled, faux leather headboards were worn and peeling and bathroom was terribly small and difficult to maneuver. Good thing I only stayed two nights.
Overall, this Crowne location wasn't bad. They have a Starbucks and the location is okay. The rooms were fine. The breakfast was definitely overpriced for what you get, but if you are an IHG rewards member you get a voucher. One of the elevators didn't work and the other two took forever sometimes, so I don't recommend a high floor.
The hotel was in a good location, close to the shops and metro. Customer Service was very poor, reception staff was rude and not helpful at all specially male staff. Restaurant was very friendly. There was no customer greeting and when we checked out no comment, I found all a bit odd.
As a whole we had no problem with the hotel but the bed were terrible talked to some other family members who were there for the Mason family reunion and they felt the same it's time to get rid of those mattresses they're done. One of the number 1 things you look for while traveling is a nice comfortable bed it did not happen . One thing for sure we will not be staying there again.
