From our arrival to our need for help in requesting an Uber to our breakfast and to suggestions about the sites to visit in DC. The staff were kind and courteous . The attention to Covid 19 concerns were taken seriously.
I had an unexpected layover due to a missed flight in DCA. I did a quick frantic search for a hotel nearby and chose the Hampton. It completely exceeded my expectations for an under $100 a night room. It looks like it was recently renovated and the room was beautiful. The bathroom was also very nice. Everything was spic and span and the room had a microwave, small refrigerator, nice TV, desk area, Safe, iron, basically everything you need here. The front desk staff was very friendly and even provided a toothbrush since my suitcase had been forwarded to my final destination. My room was on the third floor the bed was comfortable and the pillows were awesome. I heard just a little bit of traffic noise but it was certainly acceptable. Otherwise it was very quiet in the hotel. All in all an excellent experience and I would recommend this hotel highly. Oh and don’t forget, breakfast is included.…
I purchased 2 rooms on 09/04 until 09/05. I had a delayed flight so I had to stay in DC that night. I went with my wife and my father in law and my 2 sons a newborn and a toddler. I showed up to the front desk that day at noon to verify if I could make an early check in since we were traveling from Europe to USA and we come from a 9 hour flight. I knew the check in was at 3 but i was really tired and just checked If I could pay to have the room 2 hours early . When I asked that to the front desk person he laughed and said no. I was kind of surprised because he didn’t check. Maybe he checked recently? Ok anyways I realized other person at the front desk was giving instructions to someone on how to use the wifi and he was laughing because the person didn’t understand you could tell it was a senior (70+) years old. I holded my breath because I didn’t wanted to get in a discussion because I was really tired. ( anybody can check the cameras that day and realized of what happened) I decided I didn’t want to wait so I left to have some lunch and enjoy dc. I called at 2:45 to let the front desk know that I won’t be there until 9 pm so they can give my room to other person and I can have mine at 9 pm and also give them time to have my room ready “ that’s what I tought” . So that happened I showed up at 9. At 9:30 I realized the room is extremely hot so I turned on the air after 1 hoursj I realized didn’t work and called front desk , maintenance came after 20 Min and started to pull everything apart I had my todddler and my newborn already in bed sleeping 10:45 + at This point .. pulling everything apart , making noise .. woke up my kids and 25 min later after he left I was told I had to move to a different floor wich that HAD to be the first solution and not make me spend all that time there knowing I had kids If it just myself I don’t care buy with kids everything changes at the end I had a really bad night I only spent one night and didn’t rest at all. after that I understand things can break but I called to have the room ready and that didn’t happened after being moved to a different floor and walk the hotel i tried to use the ice machine on the 6th floor and guess what. Didn’t work so I had to go to other floor again. I have been a Hilton customer for a long time but after this I’m not going back I didn’t like the way I was treated I never received any apologyze at all…
The service was great. I booked through a third party and changed the days of the stay 5 days before arriving. At first my reservation did not reflect the change of dates but the manager was accommodating.
Front desk failed to send shuttle and when they were called back the front told me the driver had signed off for the night leaving us to walk in the storm. Once I walked back the front desk clerk frank told me to have a nice night- that made me even mad because I was wet and cold and he was making a joke
