I'm having an unexpected several months stay at The Virginian Suites (linked to the Choice Hotels network) due to a fire in my own coop building that damaged my unit and forced me to move out temporarily. I had actually stayed at the Virginian some years back while on a temporary assignment in Washington DC. The hotel has a terrific location: just across the Potomac River and fan easy walkacross Key Bridge to the hip and historic Georgetown district in Washington DC, Georgetown University, etc.. The Rosslyn Metro station (with lines linking one around the DC area and directly to many of the major attractions in Washington downtown) is a 10 minute or less walk from the hotel (or take the Monday through Friday hotel shuttle). Other transportation options include the DC Circulator bus which runs from Rosslyn to Dupont Circle or Washington's Union Station with stops along the way. The hotel is walking distance to Arlington National Cemetery and the Iwo Jima monument. The property used to be an apartment building so even the studios have an equipped kitchen and the one bedrooms are unusually spacious. Prices are very reasonable compared to other lodging located in this prime area. The hotel runs a shuttle several times during the week to leading grocery stores like Whole Foods and Safeway. There is a well-stocked Target and CVS within a 10 minute walk or less. The staff is outstanding: friendly, polite, helpful. I am still at the Virginian during the COVID 19 pandemic, as my own apartment is not yet ready. At a stressful time like this, the Virginian's amenities and top quality staff are especially appreciated. Big thanks to all who are keeping the Virginian Suites running.…
We stayed for 6 nights and found the place the right size for our family of 4 and was surprised and pleased at the extra services we found whilst staying there. All rooms include a full kitchen so you can cook your own meals if you wished. The hotel also provided a free shuttle to the local metro station during the day and grocery stores of an evening. Coffee and apples were alway avaliable in the lobby. Wednesday night is free pizza night. The hotel rooms are older and may not have the latest and greatest but we found them clean and comfortable.
I’ve been really through a tough period of time since I needed some time to rest and relax, until I heard about Virginian Suites, I booked a two queen bedroom suite with my friend. I had an amazing time there, the place is totally calm and quite, all what a person needs to relax is there. And yeah! Let me tell you that it was the best customer service I’ve ever had, there were two guys whom I was meeting a lot, but one of them still in my mind just because of his kindness and a smile which looked like as it was stuck to his face. I think his name’s Yussuf or Youssef. The price is definitely competitive regarding to the service that You get.
My room was very clean and spacious. Pricilla was very helpful and friendly she made me feel at home. The breakfast was incredible and they provide a coffee bar for the guests. We were 5 minutes away from DC and many other local attractions. I had a great time. Will definitely go back!
I had a very bad night with the noise on my floor and when I went to the desk to report, Salman was a wonderful help! He was professional and made my terrible night an afterthought. The housekeeping staff was very nice and took care of all my needs. Will be coming back!
