We stayed at the Residence Inn in Alexandria the last weekend in March for a long weekend. We stayed in a 1-bedroom Queen suite. PROS: Nice sized "living area" space with a full size fridge, dishware and dishwasher. Couch was comfortable for watching TV, good lighting for reading Room towards back was quiet and curtains kept room dark for sleeping...

We were in VA for a girls wine weekend and the staff made our stay so enjoyable. They upgraded us to a two room suite which provided ample room to relax and chill-out during our weekend away. The staff was extremely friendly and asked us how our visit went to the wineries. Breakfast provided us with lots of healthy choices....

My friends and I recently stayed at the Residence Inn in Old Town Alexandria and had a great time. The manager, Cindy, really went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. The accomodations were great, the shuttle service was a real plus, and the location couldn't be beat. Will look forward to staying here again in the future.

The staff were wonderful and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The kitchenette was useful and well stocked with plates, cutlery etc. The location is a good walk down to the waterfront but is a short walk to the train that takes you into DC. The shuttle van was timely and the driver knowledgeable. There is a piano bar...

My friends and I spent three lovely days at theThe Residence Inn Alexandria Old Town. The Residence Inn Alexandria Old Town in addition to beautiful rooms and great complimentary breakfast has staff that will help you navigate through the Washington DC area ongoing construction and baffling traffic. For a new visitor, it can be very confusing even with a GPS. However,...

Came here for a business trip and was very satisfied with the room. Huge, open space and loved the full size fridge and sofas. I had trouble with my TV on 2 occasions where it wouldn't turn on with the remote, but the front desk credited my Marriott account with points for the hassle. The maintenance men came up to...

My wife and I spent 3 nights here. We were here for a Cheer and Dance competition at National Harbor, which took 10-15 minutes to get to by car. Our room was good size, very clean, with full kitchen and separate sleeping area. Furnishings slightly worn, but this did not deter from anything. Lobby area with marbled floors leads to...

Extremely accomodating! Upon arrival, we discovered there was some confusion surrounding our booking dates (our mistake); they not only were cool about it, they gave us one of the best rooms they had for what we had originally selected! Shuttle service was flexible and wonderful (picked us up per our phone call from a restaurant). Breakfast was a great spread,...

Just got back from a 4 day business trip to Washington, D.C. Luckily our group decided to save some money and stay outside of the city, and we booked our reservations in this great hotel. The room exceeded my expectations. It had a large refrigerator (not the dorm room size), small stove, sitting area and large bathroom. The hotel is...

We usually stay at the Lorian but our two stays at the Marriott over 10 days were much better. First we had a large suite as opposed to one smallish room at the Lorient. Second, the Mariott was much quieter that the Lorian (even with the air con off at the Lorian we found some of the rooms to be...
