We had a great overnight stay. Hotel was clean and Covid compliant, rooms were spacious and comfortable. Hotel in a prime and convenient location, across from the metro. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating and the breakfast was fantastic! Thanks for a great stay!
Decided to take a long weekend trip after being subject to quarantine and the Embassy Suites Alexandria did not disappoint. I contacted the hotel in advance to find out what facilities were available and know what to expect. Unfortunately, the pool was closed, breakfast was limited and there was no evening reception. Housekeeping was only upon request which was fine by me. Despite this, we were able to get additional towels, soap, etc. when needed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Hand sanitizer was available, rooms were clean upon arrival and social distance markings were on the floor. The beds were comfortable. The metro is right across the street, convent for getting to the airport and downtown DC. It was about a 20 minute walk to the waterfront. There is a Whole Foods nearby as well as a Panera and Dunkin Donuts. Hope to be back when full services are able to be restored.…
This was a beautiful property. Room was clean. When we are traveling with our children, we really enjoy having the extra room to sit in while they sleep in. Since we only order take-out from restaurants, it was nice to have the table to eat at in the room. We also liked being able to walk to restaurants from the hotel. Hand sanitizer stations were set up at each elevator bank and in the eating area. We especially liked having the option of a cheese omelet or eggs cooked to order. The breakfast potatoes were French fries which I thought was odd. I really appreciated the online messaging with the General Manager during the check-in process. He was so responsive with my many questions. We were there for less than 24 hours but would love to stay again the next time we have more time to explore Old Town Alexandria.…
I would like to say this hotel was excellent in their hospitality! Everyone I talked to at the front desk to messaging them on their app to personally receiving text messages about my stay, everyone was very welcoming and hospitable! I booked a king size bed suite room and it was so spacious, I didn’t get a chance to used up the enitre room. I was also able to pick my room through the app, which was a nice touch to my stay. I did appreciate the cleansing towels in each of the elevators, definitely up to par with the current pandemic. There was also free breakfast offered, thought I didn’t take up on that. Overall, my experience so great! I will definitely come back here!
I'm a Hilton Honors Diamond member and as such I like to stay at different properties across its portfolio. Having visited Alexandria many times before, I've been to the many Hilton family hotels in the area at least once. This second visit to the Embassy Suites did not let me down. As I always arrive and depart by train, this is literally across the street from the Metro, VRE, & Amtrak stations. I checked in online and chose my room the day before my visit. During the day of my arrival I received texts from the front desk asking my ETA and any other questions I had. One thing that continues to baffle me is that while guests are encouraged to use the Digital Key allowing them to bypass the front desk check-in, the guest still has to stop at the front desk to receive the water bottles they are entitled to. The room I chose was the room I got, and I found it to be clean and spacious enough for my needs. Despite the pandemic I felt comfortable entering and utilizing the room for my stay. Obviously having arrived by train I did not mind a room facing the train stations. This hotel is the typical atrium-style Embassy Suites. Sometimes that causes there to be a din of noise coming from the main floor, but being during a pandemic when activity was slow, I was not bothered by any noise. The bathroom was suitable to my needs, allowing me to spread toiletries on the counter. No issues with hot water when taking a shower. In the morning the cooked-to-order breakfast worked well, as the chef catered to me and I was allowed to sit and consume the food well distanced from other people. In short, yes I would recommend this property to others. Just a word of warning for anyone arriving by train... Alexandria believes in using bricks in their sidewalks rather than concrete, which can be very unfriendly to suitcase wheels. Lift it and carry until you get to the hotel.…
