The check in was fairly smooth although I had an issue. I was told that the hotel accepted cash and was given cash to pay but eventually it was taken care of. The room is very spacious and came with disinfecting wipes on the desk. There was also an umbrella and yoga mat in the room. There were large bottles of shampoo, body wash and conditioner as well as a soap and a small bottle of cream in the bathroom. There were 2 issues I had with the room namely the AC which would make a loud noise when it shut off after reaching a certain temperature I assume. There were also problems with the keys from time to time and the lock once. The staff especially the receptionists were amazing!! They helped me with taxis, finding restaurants, printing documents and any other assistance I needed. The location is absolutely perfect for touring and dining it is within walking distance of everything.

Despite going through the pandemic and being a bit understaffed, they work hard to make your stay delightful. Rooms up to date and clean. Brunch was delicious. They are super pet-friendly. The gym is adequate, with equipment that is up to date. Lack of valet parking is a bit inconvenient, but we saw the front desk staff pitching in to help guests. Perfect location on King Street.

I stayed here during my interview for a job in the area. The hotel is beautiful and is in an amazing location. The staff were absolutely phenomenal. I hated the private party in the courtyard as I had an early morning flight and needed to sleep, but the noise was so loud and I was on the 5th floor. It did end about 10:30 so that was fine. No water or paper cups in the rooms so that sucked, but overall this was a nice hotel.

Great location - walkable to many of the shops and restaurants that make old town Alexandria so enjoyable. Kareem at the front desk was extremely professional, courteous, and helpful. Rooms are updated, however our room had pen marks all over one of the chairs - something that you don't expect from a hotel of this level. Another unexpected item to note is that, in a hotel of this caliber, you expect quality towels in the bathroom. These were budget quality, and worn out on top of that. Terrible. Parking is $25/night which stinks, but you are in the city. Free coffee and wine hour everyday, which we enjoyed.

Form and no function. Arrived after a 10.5hr 422 mile journey to find the hotel front desk lethargic and indifferent. Mr. xxxxxx at 5.42 pm on July 9th was looking down the whole time and waived us toward the back, saying your room is there after a 32% surcharge for incidentals which is the highest charged fee in our 1200 mile journey. Based on the fee I anticipated the service would also be exemplary. I chalked the poor front desk reception as being tired. After coming back to the front desk from our openable window less room to ask for a room change I noticed the front desk was completely different with the patrons who came in. They were of a different race or maybe their money is a different version. After waiting and then asking for a room swap I was dismissed immediately as Mr. xxxxxx stated that the hotel is full. The rooms beside us were empty the whole of our stay. No function from the front desk, a computer would have been better and not bigoted. Tried to move the bags in via the bell hop cart but it had a flat tire. Of course no help from the hotel. No function again. The room air conditioning ran at 85 dB with peaks at 95 dB at the bed which is 7 inches away from the motor. No help from the hotel, no function again just form. The bathroom leaked from the faucet as the o ring was broken. This was not something we wanted fixed due to covid but no one checked the room. There were hand prints on the wall, dirt in the bathroom and beds which were dusty. Again form but no function. Pet urine in the elevators and stains. No covid compliance to cleaning at all. Upon leaving the staff did not ask about our stay, the hotel cares about money and certain ethnicities. If you have a family or care about a hotel with hospitality find another as this will be the worse of your experience, I know in 1200 miles this was the poorest!
