Each Hotel Indigo® property is uniquely designed to reflect the culture, character and history of the surrounding neighborhood. Nestled on the shores of one of the busiest ports in America, Hotel Indigo® Old Town Alexandria is a charming enclave of colonial treasures and historic waterfront architecture. Between Old Town’s iconic cobblestones to the north and the Potomac’s storied banks to the east, our boutique hotel showcases the neighborhood’s dynamic allure. Traces of Alexandria’s colonial past are evident throughout the hotel, but the story got subterranean when crews unearthed a 50-foot vessel during construction. According to archaeologists, the ship was abandoned in the late 18th century and served as a crucial part of the process responsible for extending the waterfront. Take in views of the river from our guest rooms or from the restaurant overlooking the water, then head out to explore the quaint streets of Alexandria, once home to George Washington, Robert E. Lee and Jim Morrison. Just minutes away from the Ronald Reagan National Airport and the Interstate-495, the Hotel Indigo® Old Town Alexandria is in the center of all the local action while still featuring convenient access to D.C. and beyond.

The hotel is right on the river. A valet parks the car for $34/day. There is a modern decor, the place is spotless and new, opening in 2017. The room had a partial view of the river and a full view of the construction site next to the hotel. The room smelled musty which I

We stayed in Old Town after the wonderful St Patricks Day Parade at the Indigo - wow what a sweet posh quiet hotel one block from the Potomac Waterfront parks. The hotel is located on a quiet corner and our sweeping 4 window corner suite was very quiet posh and well appointed.

Stayed four nights at Hotel Indigo. Have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. We chose to self park in the underground lot directly across the street for $21/day. The hotel is in the middle of construction, but we didn't hear any noise from it until after 9 am which

King Street is lit all night long, but like any city we'd advise you to be aware. Bars and restaurants stay open late on the weekends but all outside dining closes by 11 pm to reduce noise.

How much is parking per night if you don't do the valet?
We parked at the garage across the street, and I want to say it was about 25.00 for the night.

The subway is about 20/30 minutes walk depending how fast you walk. Uber is about $7. The trolley still runs but it doesn’t start until 10am.

How close is the metro
Hi teddy, Hotel Indigo is just a short 15 min walk to King Street metro (blue and yellow lines). There is also a complimentary Trolley service that runs up King Street ever 10 - 15 mins that picks up a block away from the hotel.

Hi walker, Hotel Indigo is in a residential neighborhood, so street parking is limited to residents with permits. There are several surface lots, but none are 24 hours. The hotel offers valet parking with unlimited in and out privileges for just $34 per night. Hope this helps!
