We spent one evening at Orquida and Dan's B & B. They were very gracious hosts. We stayed in the Mornington Room which was lovely. It was nice having access to fresh cookies, soda, etc. on the second floor at all times. Waking up to coffee outside our room was a bonus. The bed was extremely comfortable. Due to the... More

Spent one night at Qrquida and Dans bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Shenandoah room and it was very comfortable. They could not have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

I stayed for one night at the AMBB with my friend after touring Blue Mountain, Wild Wolf and Devils Backbone and couldn't be happier with our stay. The room was adorable and the staff were friendly and very hospitable. The cozy back porch was a lovely hideaway to relax after the long day out and about and listen to the... More

My husband and I were traveling home to NC from visiting family and friends in NE Ohio and NW PA. . We enjoy staying at B&Bs. Our stay at this B&B was very enjoyable. The owners are friendly and informative. Our bed was very comfortable! The Jefferson Room was very inviting. We especially enjoyed the coffee that was placed for... More

What a gorgeous place! It's a old house, but very well-maintained. We stayed in the Jefferson room. Super comfy bed, shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in the shower, and lots of fun games and nick-nacks. Backgammon, chess, Chinese checkers, various card games, and an old Edison phonograph - with records! The hosts were very accommodating, and breakfast was divine. We were served... More

Wonderful! My first B&B experience was everything I hoped for and more. The rooms were beautifully decorated, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. Front porch rocking is highly recommended. Definitely on the list for a return visit!!!

I had a wonderful 3 night stay in the Looking Glass Room. so appropriate as my name is Alice. Dan and Orquida are wonderful hosts, the breakfast prepared by Orquida was delicious each morning. The B&B is conveniently located to Charlottesville, Staunton and many microbreweries and wineries. The room was spotless, amenities were plentiful, fresh cookies were available in the... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Afton Mountain Bed and Breakfast on August 5th. We stayed in the Looking Glass room. It was very well kept and beautifully decorated. We stayed at 4 B&B's across the state of Virginia on our road trip and this one had the best breakfast. Homemade blueberry pancakes and local sausage. Before the "main... More

My husband and I stayed here for a romantic weekland last week, and it was just what we needed. While a little close to the road, this B&B is hidden by the treeline and feels tucked away. It is a beautiful old house, tastefully decorated, completely up to date (great A/C in our room). Orquida was very friendly and easy... More

We've just returned from our first stay at Afton Mountain Bed and Breakfast. Dan and Orquida couldn't have been more charming or welcoming... they really made us feel at home. Everything inside the house has been chosen with love and maintained with care. The room was squeaky clean and the available coffee, tea, sodas and afternoon cookies were a nice... More
