My wife and I visited Abingdon, VA for the second time and stayed at the Copper Lantern B&B again. Kim & Debbie are perfect hosts. Without smothering you, they make you feel at home in their beautiful house. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Wonderful front porch to sit on and read a book or sip a cocktail and... More

I called the Copper Lantern asking about a room for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Not only did Kim and Betty provide a big, beautiful room, but they made dinner reservations for us, and ordered tickets for a play at Barter as well! One call and our anniversary weekend was planned. We stayed in the Washington room, which... More

5 stars for food, service, comfort. Betty and Kim put their heart into every detail and makes their home feel like you're home. Kim- please write a cookbook to share your delectable dishes-that expresses your flair and skill!! We very much enjoyed our stay. Mama Mia was superb. We look forward to our next visit. Our stay at the Copper Lantern Inn was in one word: AMAZING. It was exactly what we were looking for and made our 2nd anniversary experience one to remember. Kim and Betty were the most gracious and wonderful hosts. We were the first guests of the season and by the time we left on Sunday we felt like we were... More

It had been years since we stayed at a B&B and we were looking forward to this stay. Betty and Kim showed us why it was we love to stay at B&B's. When I called to reserve they asked us what we wanted to do for the weekend. They took care of 2 dinner reservations, Barter tickets, and VA Creeper... More

My sister and I come to the Mistletoe Market almost every year. We decided that this year we would stay at a B&B; I'm so glad that we selected The Copper Lantern. We stayed in the Washington room which is beautiful. The bed is so comfy that it's hard to get up in the morning. The food was beyond good;... More

This was our second visit to the Copper Lantern Inn. First and foremost, Kim and Betty are absolutely the best. We were welcomed back to their home like family. They were absolutely accommodating in every way and we wanted for nothing the entire trip. Kim had appetizers waiting on us when we arrived which were delicious in every way and... More

From the first time Betty and I spoke on the phone, I knew a connection was made. Not only did we find new friends in Betty and Kim - we found family. Upon arriving at the Inn we felt loved and welcomed. We were shown the two available rooms and given our choice! After a moment to settle in we... More

The Copper Lantern Inn contains something powerfully and personally magical about it. From the moment you step onto the porch it is though you've been wrapped in a blanket and welcomed home. Charm radiates from the Akers family as they greet you upon arrival, and for the duration of your stay you feel as though you are an "Akers" too.... More

First, the building is beautiful inside and out, and the breakfast was excellent (thank you, Kim). It's hard to explain why we were so disappointed with our experience, best explained by many little incidents. When I made the reservation weeks ahead it was explained to me that they have a two night minimum, I told Betty I understood the policy... More
