How can a make a reservation or talk with the owner if their mailbox is full? I really would like to visit in September, but don’t know how to contact them. What else can I do. This is very frustrating!
My husband and I stayed at Black’s Fort Inn while on a recent trip to Abingdon. The Inn is very quaint and relaxing. I loved sitting on the back porch. The owner could not have been more responsive. Cindy was awesome. We would love to stay again if back in the area.
My husband and I recently stayed at Black's Fort Inn on our way to Tennessee. Cindy is absolutely LOVELY!! She could not have been more warm, friendly or helpful. However when we arrived on a cold, rainy, dark evening the place was quite chilly. We also wondered why our room was "heated" by a tiny space heater in the bathroom when it appeared the house had central heating. After a wonderfully hot shower we crawled into a spacious and comfy bed. Cindy treated us to pumpkin waffles the next morning that were delicious! She wanted to make MORE food for us but we begged her not too! The location of Black's Fort Inn to the Virginia Creeper Trail was a big draw for us and we spent some time on the trail after breakfast before continuing on our way.
We spent Friday and Saturday nights in 3 of the 4 available rooms at this wonderful B&B. The only thing better than the accommodations was the big heart of our hostess, Cindy! We (3 couples) came to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail which is less than 300 yards from the inn (about 1 minute via bicycle). This beautiful setting and Miss Cindy's incredible hospitality made us feel like royalty. She provided snacks on arrival Friday evening (totally unexpected-- thanks) and our breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings were above reproach. Cindy cooks an awesome frittata (asparagus or spinach) accompanied by sausage and bacon and we were treated to waffles with maple syrup, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. This 13 acre farm setting just a short walk from the center of Abingdon offers pastoral views including Cindy's home grown horses and a variety of wildlife-- ducks, geese, groundhogs etc. There's a beautiful view to the pond, creek, and pastures from the windows and from the lofty back porch designed for sittin' a spell. What a great way to unwind and relax a bit. We are already planning our return trip for later in the year. .…
My wife and I recently spent 2 nights at the fantastic Black's Fort Inn Bed & Breakfast. We loved everything about our stay! The location adjoins a beautiful farm, yet is close enough to all the shops and activities in the nice town of Abington. Everything about Black's Fort Inn was great: spotlessly clean accommodations, comfortable bed, and beautiful walnut furniture and trim work. However, the nicest part about our stay was the graciousness of the owner, Cindy. She is a fantastic host and cook, who made cookies for us each night, and some of the best breakfasts we have ever had anywhere! Cindy grew up in this home, and her love and pride of the home and the town are evident. Thank you, Cindy, for a wonderful stay!
