The weekend I spent with my husband and two boys will be a lasting memory for all of us. He had previously visited for a company event and raved about it. The welcoming staff, homemade breakfasts, s'mores at sunset, impeccable decor, cleanliness and location made it apparent that no rock was left unturned when the inn was renovated. The backdrop... You are so nice! Thank you for taking the time to write such lovely things about the inn. We loved having you and your family (that was one of my favorite weekends yet, having all those kiddos here!) This truly is one of the best places in the area to bring families together. Thanks again and we'll see you soon.... More

The Inn has about one mile of mowed trail along the bank of the Battenkill River. It is a beautiful walk listening to birdsong filling the air. The Inn allowed the Garden Club of Manchester to walk the trail to search out birds and wildflowers. The members loved the scenery, the river, the birds and wildflowers. The views and farm... More

Oh Martha, how nice of you to review us. I was delighted to see you and your husband at our Mother's Day breakfast and I'm glad you enjoyed it, you and Carl must come down to our Thursday pub too. Thank you for mentioning our beautiful trail. It was great to have the garden club come by and as you... More

This Inn has been completely redone in rustic farmhouse style and the quality of the finishes are apparent. Down to the last detail there is something to admire, from the lighting fixtures to the custom furniture. But that is just the tip of the iceberg! the beds are so comfy and it is a beautiful serene setting so you will... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review! It's great when guests notice the hard work that was done here. It's such a nice time to be here and I'm delighted that you had a good time. Thanks for the compliments and I agree that the heating/cooling units are tough to run sometimes. Next... More

Beautifully renovated Inn on a gorgeous property less than 10 minutes from Manchester. We stayed in the main Farmhouse but there are also two other fully renovated buildings on site. All are exquisitely furnished but maintain that farmhouse feel. You can stroll along the Batten Kill River which runs through the property (I'm sure great for fly fishing in season),... More

I find fussy inns with too much furniture and stuff everywhere to be really difficult. This wonderful inn is the antithesis. Beautifully modernized and sensitively expanded, the style is clean, classically modern, and tailored. The setting is superb: views from my room in the morning of the vast red barn and hills beyond were stunning. Mariah, the innkeeper, does a... More

We went up with several families and had a wonderful time even though the weather was quite miserable. There is plenty to do in the winter even if the snow is not cooperating for skiing. Shopping, museums, spas, and indoor tennis for those who prefer to stay out of the elements and lots of hiking trails for hardier types. In... More

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves even during one of our toughest winters here in Vermont, with very little snow! No matter the weather our fireplace is a great spot to gather, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks again for your comments, looking forward to your next visit. More

My wife and I recently escaped to the Hill Farm Inn and had a wonderful time. Check in was a breeze, and our room (Battenkill) was breathtakingly beautiful, with amazing views of the mountains (tons of windows) super comfy king size bed, high ceilings with wood beams, great bathroom, and a very effective gas fireplace/stove, which gave off a lot... My husband and I had such a relaxing time at the inn. We stayed in the Battenkill room. The pictures don't do it justice. The room is spacious and the views are spectacular with windows on two of the walls. There is a stove/fireplace in the room which adds to the romantic ambience. The cathedral ceiling has a gorgeous glass... More
