Have been camping here for over 55 years. There are 4 generations of our family that have enjoyed this campground since it opened. There are new owners who have jacked up their rates with many add on charges. My last years reservation went from $39.00 a night to $70.00 a night, with really no amenities offered, it's not worth the price. With such a saddened heart, my family has decided to search elsewhere for something more reasonably priced, to gather each year. We won't be back.

Jane we respect your views and are ourselves sad to see you go, but we respectfully disagree with "no real amenities offered". The site you are referring to is a premium large river site with magnificent trees and an outstanding view with water and electricity. Our bathrooms have just been upgraded and the reviews speak for themselves. The standard rate for the site is $50.00 per night which is market related and if you choose to add more people and an extra tent we believe it is only fair that this is charged for.

This place is amazing, the campsites are well maintained and the restrooms are spotless. The view of the trees and nature right on the river is breathtaking. If you are looking to get some R & R with the family this is the place to go. The staff is friendly, we will be coming back!

I solo camped at Camping on the Battenkill this Labor Day weekend and it was wonderful! Both owners (in the office and outdoors) were warm and assisted my requests at a moments notice. The campground itself is breath-taking - being connected to the banks of two rivers really got me the nature quiet time I was looking for! With space for pups and children to play, and extremely well maintained campsites I wish my family were closer so that they could have enjoyed the space with me. It was an extremely busy weekend, and additional restroom facilities were well maintained in terms of cleanliness and accessibility (regarding COVID-19) and for that I am grateful as I am actively trying to socially distance still. Can't wait to get back ASAP.
