Just returned from our stay at the Arlington Inn & Spa and we could not recommend it more!!! We arrived about an hour and half before check in and they were more than happy to accommodate our early check in as the cleaning staff was just finishing up cleaning the room. We stayed in Marshall's library which was very charming and spacious. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. They provide a binder in the room with information about the area and things to do. Breakfast is served between 8-10 in the main house and was delicious!! They offered activities in the evening as well. The first night we were there they had a taco bar and the following night there was to be live music. We were only in town for the weekend so we were out and about so we did not make it back in time for these, but it was nice to have them offered. If you are in Vermont I highly recommend a stay at the Arlington Inn!!

4 stars! Two thumbs way up - highly recommend!
We spent our 5 year anniversary here, and this place is amazing. The hosts were incredibly gracious and kind, going above and beyond to accommodate us, including providing champagne glasses in our room. There were snacks and hot drinks available when we arrived, and we felt warmly welcomed. The room was immaculate and spacious. Our space had a large spa tub (I need one of these!), a fireplace, and the bed was one of the most comfy I've ever experienced. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING both mornings, with many delicious choices. It was the only reason we ever left our incredible room! We will definitely stay again; it was wonderful!!

The new owners are doing an excellent job of making this elegant old inn into a lovely and welcoming place. Our room "Pamela's Suite" in the main house was large, clean, and freshly painted with an up-to-date bathroom. Bed and sheets are high quality. Staff was unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were beautifully prepared and hearty. The location is in the town center of Arlington, a quiet historic hamlet a few miles from the touristy but fun Manchester. We walked around the graveyard across the street with stones that date as far back as the 1700s.
One suggestion: Most inns of this type have a "living room" with couches and comfy chairs to sit and read or talk. There is a nearly empty room that could serve this purpose. Also, the outside needs painting since it looks a little shabby while the inside is fresh and well kept.
Thanks for a very nice stay!

We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay in Pamela's Suite as well as our wonderful staff. We are currently working on bringing the entire estate back to its original glory and have just finished remodeling our tavern and the six guest rooms in our Parsonage House. Painting the outside of the Inn is definitely on our Spring to do list and we hope to see you back for another visit soon!

We needed to be in the Manchester, VT area for a family affair and discovered the Arlington Inn & Spa. We love the charm and history of older buildings and Arlington Inn did not disappoint. We stayed in the Parsonage next door to the main building and enjoyed the spacious Justin James Suite. This suite has a small kitchenette with a medium refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster oven should the need arise. The main room is large and comfortable. The nightly price for this room makes it a terrific value. Every night comes with breakfast in the solarium. This is not a free breakfast at a chain hotel. It is a full elegant breakfast well prepared and equally well served. If you are looking for an experience in an elegant unique historic Inn with a fine breakfast at excellent value, then we recommend the Arlington Inn & Spa. It is now on our list of places we love to go.

We stayed at the inn for two nights with ten other couples while cycling in the area. The best thing about the Arlington Inn were the people and the food. Tabitha made some wonderful meals and her husband and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Our room in the guest house was very tidy and gigantic with a kitchenette and modern bathroom. We experienced a slight heat issue during a chilly evening and the staff was quick to remedy the situation. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review is the road noise in front of the inn (out of their control) and the upkeep of the property grounds. I’m sure the new owners are concentrating on the fabulous rooms before they focus on the grounds. I’d recommend the Arlington Inn to everyone.

We went to the Arlington Inn & Spa for our anniversary and it was a great experience! The room in the parsonage was perfect, with a beautiful recently remodeled bathroom (the tile in the shower and floor is beautiful!), and a very comfortable bed. We loved the small porch and sat there in the evening to enjoy the fireflies. The breakfast was delicious, too. The buttermilk pancakes were perfect and my husband enjoyed his French Toast. We will be back for their Sunday brunch sometime soon! We hope to make this a regular spot now that we live in these parts.

Stayed for a weekend and had a great visit. The Inn is old and very cozy. We enjoyed our visit and the breakfast were great. Able to choose from a menu and delighted that we could invite outside guests to dine with us (for a reasonable fee). The owners were present and very friendly.

Arlington Inn has long been a great spot to stay and eat in SW Vermont. We stayed there when looking for our new home and have eaten there on MANY occasions.

Currently, the new owners have had occasional, special "holiday meals" and all I can say is they've outdone themselves each time. The food is delicious, it is bountiful and the service staff could not be more professional, courteous and attentive.

I can heartily recommend eating at one of their holiday dinners/brunches, at their daily breakfasts and staying here for a true New England experience.

We live in nearby Manchester and had heard the Inn was now serving breakfast to the public so we decided to give it a try. It was a wonderful experience, extremely friendly, attentive and helpful staff. No sooner had we sat down than they filled our coffee cups and put warm homemade muffins in front of us. I had the big fluffy blueberry pancakes and bacan, my husband had the special, a southwest breakfast bowl with two eggs on top. Both meals were so generous in size that we took half home with us. We will definitely be back! We highly recommend this place.

My husband chose this location to elope, and I’m so glad that he did! From the moment we arrived, Jackie was warm and welcoming. There were gorgeous flowers in our room, sparkling cider to share with our kids and local-made chocolates. Jackie went the extra mile and made sure we had real half and half in the fridge of the kitchenette and extra towels for the kids. She even baked fresh chocolate chip cookies! The next day Cheryl was there, and she was equally as warm and inviting. We were already staying in two rooms, but Cheryl offered my daughter and I a room at the top of the stairs to get ready in, just so we could come down the stairs for the ceremony. There were several things about the elopement that might be considered non-traditional (I wore a black dress for example), but we were never made to feel weird or awkward about any of it. Everything about our stay and the ceremony was just perfect. It felt like being in a home away from home. Thank you so much for all of the staff at Arlington Inn. We will definitely be back!
