In the winter, you would stay here for only one reason -- to ski. And for that purpose, the hotel is perfect. The hotel sits at the base of the Collins lift, which services intermediate and advanced terrain. You could not possibly stay at a location closer to a main lift -- ski in, ski out is an understatement. We...

Just got back from a long ski weekend with the guys at our annual stay at Goldminers Daughter. Easy ski in / ski out at the base of the Collins lift. Love the breakfast and dinner that is included. Love the staff.

You can't beat the location at Alta. The walk from the lodge to the bottom of the Collins lift is less than 30 seconds. The facility is classic ski lodge - comfortable, warm, friendly, a little beat up from too many ski boots. Very nice indoor hot tub, great game room with two pool tables and ping pong tables, big...

The lodge is next to the lifts. The rooms are simple but comfortable. The team is nice and always there for us. The food is good. First time skiing in Utah. I strongly recommend the place. Perfect for skiers.

I haven't stayed in the rooms here but this is a great place for aprés ski beers & food. Conveniently located at the base of Collins & Wildcat lift. If you hit it in the springtime be sure to grab a patio seat outside and catch some rays.

I read an article in Ski Magazine once about the lodges at Alta and how people find their "home" once they start going there. Ever since our first time to Goldminer's in 2009, we found our spot. The thing that is so neat about it (and Alta) are the people. We've met so many wonderful friends over the years and...

Wonderfully friendly, helpful staff will keep your vacation fun and comfy. The lodge was built in 1962, and over the years has had multiple Rube Goldberg additions, but surprisingly it all works. The rooms have the size and feel of a 1980's motel, but what the heck, you are just sleeping there. The lodge provides superb meals, a hot tub,...
