Every aspect of our stay was excellent. The food, the service, the room, the beautiful scenery, everything was more than satisfactory. Even the drive up the canyon was a great preview of what was to come.
I recently stayed at the Snow Pine Lodge and loved everything about it. The decor and ambiance were modern, yet reflected the natural environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The spa treatment was very good. The ski-in/ski-out was convenient. It was great having a ski rental shop and lockers right on property. The kids game room was over-the-top. I loved how there was a lounge area on each level, so it never got too crowded. I highly recommend it!
Well maintained hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The property was beautiful and each floor had a large fireplace to gather. Most floors had large balcaonies to gather that overlooked the mountains too. The game room was my kids favorite along with roasting marshmellows by the firepits on the grounds.
The rooms were very clean and had amazing views. The staff/management were not on the same page and it created a very unpleasant lunch on the day of my friend's wedding. They thought we didn't pay our tabs for a lunch when the service was so terrible that management had said we don't have to pay and that was not communicated to the server which then had went to one of our friends and asked him to pay when we were taken care of by management. It was just very unprofessional of the server to do that and shows the lack of communication amongst the staff and management.
Highly recommend. Short-staffed, but very friendly. good food and atmosphere. Beautiful spa, although extremely costly. Super nice staff. A great experience. Great night's sleep - quiet and so pretty.
We were here for a wedding and will likely come back in the future, whether for skiing or just to relax. Spacious rooms, excellent bathrooms, many rooms with balconies, and extraordinary views of the canyons and mountains. What also is nice is that on every floor, there is a lounge area with nice seating and a fireplace directly across the elevators, and on the other side still another area with tables and an outdoor deck. One complaint: The restaurant is only open for breakfast and dinner, and the bar area for lunch cannot handle even a normal lunchtime crowd. They need to think this through more carefully, and we were here in the off-season so no telling what it is like during ski season.
Beware, staff does not have a clear understanding of food allergies. Refrigerator in room was not cleaned out when we arrive! We only had towels for 2 people but our reservation was for 4 people! We had to get extra towels by the pool because they were understaffed!
If you haven't heard of the Snowpine Lodge, then you're not alone. It opened at the end of 2019 just as Covid hit, so it has remained an undiscovered gem for a few years. It is a magnificent mountain experience built on the stone structure of a coal mine from the 1860's. Tucked up to the mountains in Little Cottonwood Canyon, it feels fresh, modern and nostalgic all at the same time. It's our new favorite get-away for the entire family! But let's keep this our little secret, once the word gets out, this will be everyone's favorite hotel!
I was supposed to stay at Snowpine Lodge for a wedding. Approximately 35 minutes before arrival, Sean called to tell me that the room my husband and I were supposed to stay in had an issue. They were completely booked because of a wedding(the one I was supposed to attend), and the solution for this was staying down the hill at their other property, The Cliff. Sean stated the manager was going to take care of the room, parking, and refund my deposit for the room that was no longer available and for the inconvenience of being separated from my friends. Sean was nice over the phone, and I appreciate his hard work and attempt to fix this problem. That is where the customer service ended. Upon getting my check out confirmation email, I noticed I was charged twice for valet parking. I called in to the number listed in the email to discuss the charge. I explained everything to a woman who identified herself as a the concierge. She asked me to hold for a moment, and said she would be back to help me. Two minutes later, another woman picked up the line and had no idea what I was talking about. As if that wasn’t annoying enough, she said “I guess I can fix it” in a tone that suggested I was a bother. I’m not sure if this just the way things are in Utah or if it was just me……
The hotel is absolutely amazing. We hiked, sat in the hot tub and saw a moose. The hotel is styled with a mountain theme throughout and wonderful scenery pictures everywhere. Customer service is phenomenal.
