The LINE Austin is the third LINE hotel created by Sydell Group. Like the flagship in Koreatown, Los Angeles, which opened in 2014, the new LINE was built with a passion for distinctive architecture and a commitment to the neighborhood it inhabits. The LINE Austin is a collaboration of diverse local and visiting creative talent in its design, culture and culinary programs. Among its greatest assets is its location at the convergence of Town Lake and downtown Austin, where lush landscape and outdoor life meet the vibrant culture and history of the city.

The hotel location was great, easy walking access to a lot of things. Lobby vibe was nice but the room was a miss. They went for a minimalist aesthetic that left out basics for travelers. There was only one small luggage rack that barely held my medium size suitcase and no where for my husband to put his suitcase except on the floor. The closet was full of everything that should have been out in the room leaving virtually no room to hang dresses. The bathroom had no towel racks so towels had to go on the counter or floor. No place in the shower to shave your legs. Hardly any outlets in the room, made steaming clothes very difficult. Lighting was so dark I had difficulty applying makeup. It’s a nice hotel but for a traveler it’s a big miss. Would pick a different hotel so my next trip to Austin.

Strong mildew smell in our room (2 queen beds) so we requested a room change to the newer part of the hotel. We were moved to a "king suite with a round sofa" but the mildew smell was in this room as well (and there was no sofa). We ended up canceling the remainer of our stay on the phone that night (with the front desk), but they later refused the refund. It was only after 1 ½+ hours on the phone with various representatives/managers that we were refunded 5 of the 7 nights (we stayed less than 10 hours). It looks so beautiful ON LINE but in person, THE LINE is dark, musty and quite disappointing.

Great Spring Break trip with our kids and had a great time there. Perfect location to spend time on the trail, downtown, and SOCO. The infinity pool to the lake was a great (heated pool). Couldnt beat the tacos and juice from Veracruz (which we had 1-2 times daily). Had a great time

My wife and I got a last second chance to take a weekend I. Austin from or yay work schedules. We picked the Line after doing some quick research and honestly wasn’t expecting much. The location drew us to the place. As soon as we checked in we knew it was going to be great! The vibe, service, pool and everything was fantastic. If you are looking for something that is a little different than the normal big chain experience with an eye to style and service this place is great to go to. Fyi, the food at P6 was heaven

I’ve stayed at virtually all The Line properties over the years. Seemingly they all have certain downfalls, but the newest Austin location is a real gem. Word of advise, take a river view room and get a reservation at P5 between 6-7, you’ll thank me later.

Hi, mtownsend1441 Thank you for sharing. Between the location on Towne Lake, sunset views at P6, and poolside tacos from VeraCruz - I could not agree with you more. Hope to see you again soon Cheers, Emily Ransom
