The Sheraton Austin at the Capitol is in a rather interesting location - it's not really close to the heart of the entertainment district (though you can walk there in less than 15 minutes) and it's still more than a ten minute walk to the Texas State Capitol. However, we loved being so close to the interesting food trucks and...

if you have a choice I would not recommend this hotel. There is not much around it, you have to walk a bit to get anywhere, When at the hotel you feel like you are in any hotel in a very bland city, rather than a vibrant city like Austin. The bathrooms are awful and need serious updating. The room...

We arrived at 1pm and the Sheraton could not check us in. Understandable because checkin is not until 3pm. However at 4pm when the Sheraton still could not check us in I was starting to get upset. Their solution was to put us in a dirty room that was completely run down. My husband and I are not picky people,...

Dear kateforzy, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience about your recent stay at our hotel. We are terribly sorry we were not able to provide you with the quality of services you deserve, what you describe certainly does not meet our stringent standards. Checking into a room that hasn't been properly cleaned can understandably leave a...

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were all very attentive and service-minded. The rooms are good too. We didn't use the pool or the gym. The bar and the club lounge were good. Breakfast was very good too. They even had a little library. The location is very good, just a short walk from the Capitol...

Check in was smooth. Sold out due to sessions. Walking distance to capitol. The restaurant is nice but the food is okay. I should know better but it worked out. I heard that the breakfast buffet was worth $16. I ordered coffee to the room at the time I wanted and it was ON TIME! :) I was happy.

This is my third time staying at this hotel and all stays have been wonderful. The location is great because its so close to downtown restaurants, the capitol building and the university. Everything is walking distance. The staff is very friendly and courteous. My room was quiet and clean. The bar on the first floor was also a nice place...

Seriously, first thing, I knocked a mirror off the wall. The maintenance man (Matt) appeared soon after a call to the front desk. After the repair, he gave a business card to trade for a free coffee or appetizer!

I have stayed at this hotel each of three years while on business. I will continue to stay here, as the location is great (just off the highway), near many great restaurants and the service is excellent. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The room service was prompt and courteous. The only drawback is the fact that self parking...

The hotel interior and grounds are clean and well furnished. The meeting facilities have very comfortable chairs with nice desks. The hotel has a very quaint and pleasant library for those looking for a quit corner. The bar and restaurant are clean and furnished with comfortable accommodations. My only complaint is that I called the day after the event reserved...

Had the opportunity to stay at this location for a conference. Great location on I-35 and just a few blocks to the capital. Good parking and valet service available. The facility is easy to get around in, meeting rooms are very convenient to hotel rooms. I would consider the meeting rooms to be very nice, well appointed, and plenty of...
