The price was right and the breakfast tacos from a local restaurant were awesome! My kids loved the pink sheet. The staff was very friendly. They had free water bottles with pink sheep on them also. The room was spacious and the mattresses were comfortable.

This place is cute but it's still a motel, so keep that in mind if you have high expectations. It was clean and fine but there is definitely room for improvement. Our bathtub drain was clogged the first day and housekeeping also never came. The lock on one of the building entrance doors was broken, which is kind of concerning... More

Stayed three nights here last weekend. Checking in the person at the desk was about as rude as they come. Get to the building, the outside door lock doesn't work (no security). The room door is something you'd see in a run down hotel, like this one. Had to slam it to close, as it seems most others had to... More

The hotel is simple, the rooms spacious and clean. The the staff is very cordial. Great option for artsy people. It is located in a quiet part of town which is also a plus, only 2-3 miles away form downtown Austin. I enjoyed my stay there.

We loved The Highlander, we had one small issue but the staff took care of it right away. Breakfast was great for on the go. Not alot of bells and whistles, but we didn't need that, we wanted a comfortable, clean place to stay at a reasonable price. We will stay here again.

I hardly have words. For under $100/nt, I didn't have much in the way of expectations ... a bed to sleep in, mostly. Got more than I bargained for. First, this is NOT a place for families/people with kids. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't advertise itself as such, but as someone who has stayed in at least a hundred... More

jenjenut233, I am sorry about your recent stay. This building is over 30 years old and because we only have 2 floors we do not have an elevator or have room to install one. If we did, we certainly would. The curtains in the room are black out grade curtains. I am sorry about the noisy neighbors. We do have... More

Big rooms. Friendly Staff. I found this hotel and was able to book it at the last minute for a business trip. My room was on the 1st floor and it had a sliding glass door to the parking lot. I liked being able to park right outside my room, but it would be really awesome if they could find... More

Upon arrival the girl at the desk couldn't work their computer systems so she had to get help. It took about 20 mins to get checked in but she was very nice and offered me a water while I waited. Shortly after unloading our bags, I laid down exhausted from our drive and lifted my phone to send a text... More

Cody R, I am very sorry about the circumstances that went down during your stay here. I apologize for the insects.
