I don’t even feel that it deserves 1 star but this house was the worst we have ever experienced. We have stayed at many houses including lake houses and this was by far the worst. When you walked in it smelled, there was a used paper towel on the stair case, the linen was dirty suppose to be white and had many brown stains one of the rooms had blood stains, the bathrooms were disgusting that looked like dry toothpaste in the sink, we felt disgusting even just walking around the house. We immediately washed all the sheets in the house. There was spider webs on the staircase, the couches were dirty and nasty we did not even want to be inside the house much because it was filthy. There was roaches inside the house and in one of the downstairs beds we killed a baby tarantula that was crawling on the bed when we took the sheets off. We did not feel any privacy there was cameras everywhere, there was a guy that “keeps up with the property” and was staying next to the garage in a little house . He would randomly show up at the house at all hours. We did not feel comfortable at all. When we finally talked to owner Eva, we told her our concerns and she responded with “ what’s clean for me may not be clean for you” she was very defensive and also said yes I know it’s dusty you are by the lake , but we have stayed at many lake houses that were actually on the lake, and they were very very clean so that is not an excuse. Just to let y’all know this a catfish home the house looks nothing like the pictures and is not worth $5500. Save your money and DO NOT stay here!!!!!!!

I was here maybe 15 minutes before I decided to get out of there. no privacy, no quality customer service and they are very good at false advertising. I would rather sleep on the streets than here. beware or they will take your money. i’m surprised they are still in business.

I booked this property for 2 nights the penthouse. First she calls me and says she already rented the room to someone else. So i text her we want to cancel and come the next day. I get a text hours later she was trying to charge me for both nights even though the room was already rented. Then i call her the next day to pay and she was very rude and like what do you want. I was like i want the room im trying to pay for. Beware yes location is great but make sure you dont use a good card she will charge you anyways and then act like she had no clue

My girlfriends and I decided to stay in Austin for a quick day trip. We booked the penthouse suite at La Villa Vista with Sean. He was very professional and nice every time we spoke. Our plan was to arrive Saturday morning. We arrived and Sean had not made it in yet, so we had the pleasure to meet with the owner Eva. We advised her that we booked the penthouse suite. She stated that the penthouse suite was already booked, but we could stay in a different room. I believe she realized, I was a little disappointed that we were promised the Penthouse suite and now it was not available. She advised me “That I could stay at a different hotel, but I won't receive these beautiful views.” I responded, “I am aware of my options”. The room she decided to give us had a king size bed with a cot that was rolled in the closet. I did not make a big deal about it and decided to stay in the room as it was only for one night. We unpacked and decided to have a drink on the patio area overlooking the Lake. We tried to lock the door after we unpacked. Like many other hotels, you can create your own code to lock the safe in the room. This room had that same type of keypad on the door of the room so we assumed we could create our own combination to lock the door. That was not the case. The maintenance person advised us that code was 12345. We are three women traveling alone and the thought that we could not lock the door was troubling. We overlooked that as well and tried to relax. Eva apologized for the inconvenience, gave us a $25.00 gift card to The Oasis restaurant, and promised us a bottle of wine. We decided to go to a different restaurant for lunch. We left, had lunch and came back. We finally had the option to meet Sean. He also apologized for the inconvenience and gave us two additional gift cards to The Oasis for his error in booking the room. My friends and I decided to have a drink on the patio and enjoy the beautiful views. We begin to listen to music and enjoy ourselves and Eva comes over. She advised us that Sean did not know she had given us gift cards to The Oasis. I asked her if she wanted the gift cards back? She replied, "What do you think?" I handed her all the gift cards. She took the gift cards out of my hand and threw them back on the table and stormed off like she was a two year old having a temper tantrum. I would not recommend this place. The views are beautiful, but not worth dealing with the owner. We tried to get past Eva and her attitude, but could not do it. We were paying over $300.00 a night for king size bed, a cot and an owner with a bad attitude. We called after we left to let Sean know we were leaving and he asked us to come back. We decided not to and stayed downtown Austin and was able to enjoy our Austin trip. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!
