Great place for doing my Advanced Open Water deep dive. Excellent platforms, buoys, and chain markers to make it safe and easy. Wished I had come early or stayed over and camped. Friendly staff. Carts are available to get your gear from your vehicle to your campsite or picnic table. Enjoyed a beautiful day by the lake.

Had a great visit at windy point park. The park was extremely clean and well keep. Although it was a short walk to the water the carts were a great addition, which are free to use. I visited during the week and was less then a dozen of folks, which made it that much nicer. The owner was on site... More

I wanted to share a part of my life in my 20's and that was spent living in Austin Texas from 1978 - 1996. It was a great, beautiful time in my life. The best part of living in Austin are the lakes Lake Austin and Lake Travis. On our final day, we went to The Oasis, which I will... More

Spent a few hours just walking around on the public side of the point. Nice restrooms. A pretty enclosed room available for parties. Lots of nice walking area along the lakefront. Plan to go back in warmer time of year for swimming. Nice boat ramp and fishing pier, too.

Overall I really enjoyed our visit to Windy Point Park. I read so many mixed reviews that I didn't know what to expect, but it was worth going. We went on a Friday morning in August and it wasn't very packed, which was great. You don't need to sit under the covered areas but it does get pretty hot and... More

The owner of this site is super friendly. The location is amazing! We landed here by luck and couldn't have planned for a better location! The sites here are beautiful. We loved it, if we are ever back in Austin, this will definitely be on our to do list. Campsites are amazing, just know there are no showers

Went with a party of six for a day on the Lake. It was a fun, curvy trip up into the Austin hill country. Paid 10 bucks to get in and was able to drive out on the sandbar and tailgate out of my truck.

I went to Windy Point to get me deep dive certification. The people were nice and the facilities were clean. The only bad thing was the since the lake is so low, you have to carry all your gear down a lot of stairs. Got pretty winded on the way up.
