This place was a hopeful hip place like a Hotel San Jose. Except for the cool fridge, nice grounds and cute rocking chair, it was super disappointing. It’s not in the country, but among a big shopping center. The unkept concrete floors, the weird painted turquoise square in the bath, cheap metal uncomfortable furniture, the barn door that was so disturbingly loud when sliding open in the night and the lack of parking on site was not good. Sadly, the guest next door smoked in her rocking chair and had the television on the highest volume so that she could hear it while keeping her door open. Not good and not at all worth the price we paid. So disappointing.
Cute and fun complex. Rooms are bigger than standard hotel and the grounds are adorable. Breakfast would be a great addition but I brought mine along, so the refrigerator was handy (no microwave, though). The staff was very professional and helpful!
The front door had a very large gap which allowed considerable daylight into the room that should have had a better threshold. The tower racks were higher than necessary. The cleanliness of the room and the AC was very good. The staff was exceptional.
We had two families meeting for the first time as our children were getting engaged. The Lone Star Court was wonderful in accommodating all of us to have rooms close by to each other and even allowed us to set up the perfect proposal area for the kids to pop the question and say YES! We can't wait to meet there again as we now have a wedding to plan!
My family loves Lone Star Court! The grounds are beautiful, and the staff is amazing. From the check-in to the check-out everyone was super-accommodating. The property is located near great shopping and restaurants; however, we had the best food at great prices right on-site at the Water Trough. James Wilson--the chef is excellent and is super-accommodating as well--with a smile. This was our second time staying at Lone Star Court, and it will not be our last! Skip the big chain hotels in the area and get treated to some first-class Texas Hospitality!
This has become our favorite hotel to stay at when we come in to Austin for both business and pleasure trips.. It's location works perfectly for our getting anywhere we need to go around town for business and is walking distance for our shopping trips.
I had a nice stay on recent business trip. It was a lovely property. The gazebo and fire pits were nice and a good place to relax. I was not a fan of the strong manure smell from the fresh mulch. The restaurant was fine and priced as you'd expect a hotel to be. You get a free LoneStar beer or root beer on check in. The room as large with cute, albeit kitschy, decor. The floor was concrete so it was chilly and I always had dirt on my feet after walking around the room barefoot. The beds were comfy and the bedding was nice. I had a couple of minor complaints, but nothing that would keep me from staying there again. There was a large fridge, but it was almost completely full of mini-bar items (soda, energy drinks, beer, spirits) and it left little room for my stuff. The mini-bar snacks were in a basket that took up almost the entire coffee table. (I love a good snickers bar, but do you need 10 of them in a snack basket taking up table space). Keep your bathroom door shut! Fortunately, I'm a sound sleeper because my room was super noisy. I'm not sure if there was a fan or A/C running directly behind my room or what, but even with the bathroom door shut, I could hear it all night. The light also pours in through the bathroom windows and they're frosted so no way to block them. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay there again. My complaints were relatively minor. …
The room was very comfortable with a fun retro theme. The staff very helpful to our needs. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing which was perfect after a hectic few days of wedding activities. The pool and patio areas were great places to kick back. We appreciated the ample, close up parking.
We did a little Saturday night staycation @ Lone Star Court, and everything was just fine! I enjoyed their Smeg fridge, comfy pillows, and non-cramped room/bathroom space. Additionally, their landscaping and architectural design does not lend to feeling like you’re staying at hotel within a busy outdoor mall.
Blown away by this treasure. The vibe is so cool and unlike other hotels I’ve stayed. I do a lot of traveling and the this property feels like it’s miles away from the city while being on the heart of it. Do your self a favor and
