I was here for 10 days to work a job and this Studio 6 filled the bill. The price was better than just about everyone else in Austin that wasn't a Drug Den (or worse) and should've been condemned by the Health Department. That sounds extreme but Austin is extremely expensive for anything fit for Human Habitation. My room was...

My wife and I came to Austin to get away for the weekend. I had stayed at Studio 6 motels in the past with exceptional service. This, however, was not the case. Our first room, however clean, had the looming scent of cigarette smoke throughout. Not only that my wife and I killed a total of 7-10 ants while there....

Arrived to be told room that had been reserved was not clean. Similar room to what we had reserved was not ready. So excepted a cheaper room as travelling from England we were tired. Went to the cheap room only to find it was occupied. So was sent to another but was told we would not get any money back....

It would have been ok, except the supposedly non-smoking rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. I checked in on a Sunday night and was told I couldn't change rooms until the next morning - not that they didn't have other rooms, it was just that the staff on duty for inexplicable reasons didn't have the authority to put me in another...

Conveniently located near restaurants and major highways, it was a very convenient place to stay. The rooms were updated and the exterior of the property looks great. It smelled clean and fresh, had wood floors rather than carpet and things were spic and span. I wish they would have an oven instead of just a stove top and an area for...

Been here 3 days with my family so far. Its been pretty nice and peaceful. The 'walls' are a little bit thin, meaning you can hear some door closings, probably hear my son jumping up and down, but its not that bad. Nicely kept - not OCD clean, but better than a lot of other places. This is an extended...

I was working in Austin for a week and had shopped around looking for a long term motel/hotel with a kitchen. Studio 6 Midtown had received mixed (negative) reviews but I noticed most to be some years old and newer ones spoke of it being madeover. So...I shot craps and booked a room with a king sized bed. I was...

My husband and I are contractors so we travel frequently for jobs. We have stayed at the Studio 6 Houston (Hwy 6 & I-10) for over a year once and were delighted with the service. Not so here in Austin's Midtown location. Major construction going on since we checked in in March. Were initially told the construction would be finished...

Greetings I come to Austin quite frequently, and was a bit discouraged to read about the studio 6 Midtown. However,Was quite surprised, the property is under renovations, and I was lucky enough to stay in a renovated room. Aside from a small amount of construction noise during the day, the property is really nice. When they finish it will be...

I've stayed at other Studio 6's, this has to be the worst. The manager was lounging at his apartment when I arrived at 8PM and responded to the courtesy phone by asking "Jess" if he had "brought the stuff." I wasn't Jess and I certainly hadn't brought him anything. My non-smoking hotel room smelled like cigarette smoke covered with Lysol...
