I stayed four nights and five days to attend an in-person training. The hotel was very clean, it had great accommodations, and every single staff member was so lovely and kind. There were also a lot of great restaurant choices within just a few minutes of walking distance of the hotel.
I love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is planning to be in Austin. Beautiful rooms and great customer service. Yes it is pricey but worth it. I had what I assume is a standard room. 2 beds. Large bathroom. If I have to nitpick, I would have loved to have a bathtub instead of a shower but other than that I can't complain.
I have stayed at the Fairmont several times in capacity of business and pleasure. I know everyone can find something wrong no matter where they travel (the lightbulb was out) but I have had the extraordinary pleasure of working with some phenomenal people at the Fairmont. From a business standpoint: Joseph Sheeran is the best person for the job. My company uses the Fairmont and whenever I need anything Joseph responds quickly, has a solution and has been a joy to work with! From a personal standpoint: I love bringing my kids in the winter for nighttime swims in the heated pool. The skyline is amazing at night. I am cautious with using certain hotels with rambunctious boys but as high end as the Fairmont is, is as down-to-earth the staff is. Love it!
Ni Saletta at the Fairmont Austin spa just gave me the best natural nail manicure I have ever had! I could be a hand model now! :) The hotel room was very clean and the LeLabo toiletries were a nice, luxury surprise. All the meals I had at the hotel were great, too. Staying at the Fairmont Austin was a fantastic choice.
Clean room, beautiful bathroom, amazing view. Everything about the hotel was great, except there was no place to keep drinks cold. There is a full mini-bar but you can’t move any of the items without paying for them ($5 for a can of soda). A fridge in a hotel room is an essential amenity for me.
We have had the most pleasant experience at this restaurant. Everyone is very nice and professional here. The drinks are great and Biggy G was a phenomenal server. All of the waiters and bartenders are amazing.
No problems throughout a two-room stay. The lobby smell was odd/not pleasant. Nice lobby. Plenty of spaces to unwind. Elevators could use better directional markings as well as when you get off the lobby to go to your room.
Nice hotel. Well located. Staff genuinely working to ensure your stay is a pleasure. The hotel decor is not for everyone and in some places feels big dated and tired. If your staying on the 34th floor be sure you’re not under the Gold level lounge. Very loud! We brought this to their attention and they promptly moved us into a new and larger room. Miguel handled our issue professionally and promptly. If you’re looking for a hotel for a weekend away, this should be on your list.
We were here for our son's wedding. We set up a "courtesy block" of rooms and I booked four for our family. They upgraded the bride and groom at no added cost, and worked with us to make sure all details were covered in advance. We also hosted a Sunday Brunch in Revue Italian Market and it went very smoothly and was done for a very reasonable price. Self parking worked great for many trips our and back -- very easy in and out to/from the parking garage.
My stay at the fairmont was wonderful. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Especially Biggy G. He was very valuable decoding the extensive wine list and offered perfect recommendations for cocktails. When ever I come back to Austin I am definitely staying at the fairmont again.
