Wonderful, awesome and amazing words just don't seem to do enough when it comes to how I feel after spending two nights here! John and I have been together over 30 years and have experienced many short getaway stays. All in Texas. Even here in Austin. But as I explained to Cata (owner) over the phone this morning, this trip went above and beyond every other getaway we've been on! First, Cata won my heart before I booked our visit. So pleasant and thoughtful! And extremely willing to go above and beyond what any hotel or bed and breakfast would typically do. She truly cares about her customers! The room was exceptionally clean. Normally I clean every room we stay in before unpacking. I am a germaphobe and always bring my organic, essential oil cleaner with me on trips. Here they already use Method brand products which is also a brand I use when available! The room was so clean, I didn't even bother to give it another once over! The room was also stocked with fresh, homemade pastries and organic coffee, cream, milk and organge juice in the fridge. I felt so welcome and at home when I saw this! The bed was firm and had tons of soft and medium firm pillows. We stayed at the room called Golden Sun Cottage. The lodging next to it is called the Lavendar Suite. Both are the only lodgings right at poolside. Both have private patios. Both are gorgeous! The lighting, landscaping and fountain features took my breath away! I have never felt more relaxed than I did during this getaway! I also loved that it only took 3 minutes to drive to Jessica Hollis Park. It too was awesome! I spent over 2 hours swimming and raft lounging in the cleanest and refreshing watering hole portion of the lake that they have there. Easy to park and a very short 60 second walk to the picnic area and water! I truly had the best time during this getaway. I cannot wait to come back and stay at Casa del Sol Bed and Breakfast! Just spent 5 wonderful days in our favorite room, The Golden Sun Cottage. We never get tired of coming back, this is our favorite vacation place! Doug and Cata go out of their way to make you feel so welcome and comfortable. They treat you like you are their best friends. What is so special about The Golden Sun Cottage is it faces the beautiful, manicured landscape with all the beautiful flowers, plants, and pool area. There is nothing more relaxing than reclining around the pool. The birds singing, the sound of the windchimes, and the fountain spraying in the pool will quickly put you in nap mode. You can also enjoy the hot tub that sits on the pool deck. Or maybe just sitting by the pool and reading from your favorite book. Casa Del Sol is the BEST place to go and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily routines. The housekeeper refreshes your room every day, with fresh fruit, pastries, juice, clean towels and making up the bed. The grounds keeper is always trimming, raking, pruning the plants, flowers and cleaning the pool. They do all this for your enjoyment. Doug, Cata, the housekeeper and groundskeeper work so hard to make your stay as comfortable as they can. If you ask for something, they are always so kind and willing to accommodate you. Casa Del Sol sits on a hill overlooking Lake Travis. The beautiful neighborhood offers the perfect place for a morning, afternoon, or evening walk. You will always get a quiet and peaceful night sleep in their comfortable bed. I highly recommend this B&B oasis to those who just want to get away and relax. You will not go wrong being guest at Doug and Cata’s Bed & Breakfast. We are already planning for our next year’s visit, to be our 6th time. Thank you, Doug, Cata and staff for all that you do. I had just come back from an international trip and had another trip coming soon, so I didn't have any specific plans for the day of my birthday. Days prior to my 52nd birthday, I was hanging out with two of my best friends and decided on a 24-hour trip to celebrate. Without giving it much thought, we booked Casa del Sol which which is an hour and 45 minutes drive from home. We packed our swimsuits, a cooler, some snacks, and a ton of emotional baggage and drove there without knowing it was going to be such a wonderful experience. Upon entering Casa del Sol, I completely forgot I had had a discussion with my husband as I was leaving the house. The peaceful energy and greeney of this b&b surrounded me, and I left all the worries at the door. As I leared later, so did my friends. We stayed at the Lavander Suite, which is just adorable. It has a dining/TV room with a separate bedroom that had a dreamy, comfortable bed with the whitest and softest sheets. The TV room has a sofa that was super comfortable, according to my friend who slept on it The closet in the dining room area was stocked with everything you need, including a microwave, coffee and coffee maker, and utensils. The mini fridge had orange jucie, granola, half and half, and yogurt for the next day's breakfast, and the dining room table had fresh pastries, including slices of a cinnamon babka that was to die for. We met Favio, who is the sweetest garden/suite keeper ever, and Cata, the owner who has the most beautiful spirit. This bed and breakfast reflects the love and patience that has been poured into it by both of them. We also really enjoyed the pool /hot tub area. You can tell that Favio does an amazing job keeping the pool and the hit tub water extra clean. This place was perfect to have long conversations and unwind. I will definitely be back with my hubby (now that we have reconciled...lol) and my Gordita (my pug daughter) since Casa del Sol is dog friendly. I'm sure they will love it as much as my friends and I did. This is the perfect place to disconnect from daily life, rest and renew your spirit.

We had a delightful and tranquil stay at Casa del Sol. Though we had obligations so could not hang around the room and grounds all day we would have been happy to do just this.
We stayed in the Garden Room but from what I could tell there isn't a room there we wouldn't enjoy. There are separate lovely more private seating areas outside each room but also multiple seating/longing areas all around the pool and hot tub area, all situated in a delightful oasis.
The refrigerator/ kitchen area shelves were well stocked with continental breakfast which was plentiful enough to allow us to continue to snack on later in the day. Housekeeping kept up the room nicely on a daily basis. The owner, Cata, who was very helpful when I called about questions regarding the area, made the effort to inform me she would be away the weekend of our visit, but her property manager Shellie would be available if we needed anything and provided us with Shellies contact information. Shellie went beyond the call of duty to be sure we had everything we needed.
When initially booking the reservation, I was concerned it was a little far from our wedding venue in another area of Austin (Barr Mansion and Farmstead) , as well as Austin itself which we wanted to visit, but it was an easy drive, and offered this calm beautiful refuge in between obligations and "sight-seeing". We also did not have to travel far at all for some good restaurants right in the area and, having a choice to take a morning walk on nearby trails, was a plus.
We loved our stay and will look forward to booking here if/when we return to the area. In fact, knowing about this place is an incentive in itself to return to the area for a mini vacation!

Spent a week at Casa del Sol exploring the area for future travel plans. Very convenient location for trips thru Hill Country and also into Austin. We stayed in the Lavender Suite which has a very large dining and living area and comfy lounge furniture for relaxing or watching TV. The bedroom is also large and the king bed is divine. Lots of closet and cupboard space. Continental breakfast was left daily in fridge so we could enjoy at our leisure the following morning. Always delicious and the pastries were such a treat. Quiet location, parking right outside the gate and a peaceful pool and hot tub area. Our host Cata was delightful and shared some great local information and sights to see. We loved that this is a pet friendly B&B even though our dog wasn’t along on this trip. Accommodation is not new but has a great vibe and fun decor inside and in the garden area.

I loved this property! A little Oasis in Texas. If you’re tired of staying in a hotel where you have to wonder if there is breakfast or wonder if your room will be cleaned, I would stay here! Everything was very clean, the room was well stocked, and the backyard was incredible.

My sister and I stayed in the Garden Room for our long-weekend Austin visit. The property is peaceful, lush, and calming. We had great directions to find the B&B and our parking spot. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and we enjoyed the fresh orange juice, coffee and pastries each morning. The only suggestion would be stocking the mini-fridge with filtered water for the coffeemaker (getting it from the bathroom sink/shower wasn't super appealing). The B&B ended up being a great location for our adventures that took us in different directions each day. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We are so fortunate to have such a great location, not far from downtown Austin, without being "in" it, and also, a good jumping off place for the wineries and wildflowers of the great Texas Hill Country! As for the bottled water, we understand, but we decided to forgo the many plastic bottles for this reason; Our local water is very good, and has a rating of "Superior". We checked this out when we moved here! But we do understand peoples concern. When I traveled for work and stayed at hotels, I bought a big jug of spring water for my stay, because in some cities, the water is abysmal.

Moonlight Suite is Amazing! Private hot tub on edge of cliff! So quiet & peaceful! Gorgeous Pool, beautiful gardens, BBQ pits, fire pits, hammocks, outdoor showers! Host Cata is Amazing! Will even decorate your suite upon request for a birthday, anniversary, etc! View of lake Travis from balcony! Not far from stores and restaurants! Cata is quick to respond to any questions you may have! We stayed for 2 nights and just fell in love with this gem! The pastries were delicious! The closet is turned into a kitchenette! Cata provided pastries and milk and orange juice and yogurt cups and fruit and coffee and even gave organic options! Tv has cable which was great! Room was decorated very pretty with flowers, balloons, birthday banner and cupcakes! She even provided candles and matches! Cata pays attention to even the smallest detail that will make you feel right at home! Whether it’s for a whole week, a weekend or just one night don’t pass up the opportunity to experience Casa Del Sol’s Moonlight Suite!

This was our 5th visit to Casa Del Sol. It seems to only get better and better. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, and relax, this is the place. The minute you walk onto the property you can hear the calming sound of the fountain in the pool. That is my favorite place. There is nothing more relaxing than to sit on the deck by the pool admiring all the flowers, plants, and the calming sound of the fountain. The pool is always so crystal clear and clean for a swim. You can even spend some time in the hot tub that is right there on the deck by the pool. There are plenty of tables, chairs and towels for your convenience. Every afternoon there are fresh pastries, fruit and juice provided for you. When we come back from an afternoon out, it is like walking into the cottage the very first day. The housekeeper does a such a wonderful job cleaning and preparing the room for our return. The grounds keeper loves his job, and it shows by how he keeps everything so beautiful and pristine. Both the housekeep and grounds keeper work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. Casa Del Sol sits on a hill overlooking Lake Travis. They are located in a wonderful neighborhood giving you an opportunity for a morning or evening walk and even meeting some great neighbors. Thank you Cata and Doug for providing Casa Del Sol. I could write a book on just how GREAT this Bed & Breakfast is!! We always enjoy our visits with you and we will be back. We love Casa Del Sol!!!

Wow, and wow! Thank you so much for such an outpouring of gratitude for our little respite. First of all, we love having you as a guest all these years, because we can feel you do appreciate exactly what we are striving to give. 26 years ago, when we were trying to decide on a name, we landed on Casa del Sol for a few reasons. Most obviously, it means "House of the Sun" in Spanish. We love the Texas / Mexico flavor of Austin, and we love the sun! But also, it was a little play on words for us, "Casa del Soul" because we wanted people who came here to feel the peace of the natural setting, and be able to relax back to the "Soul of the matter"... By grace, we attract wonderful people like yourself, and also, our staff, who are jewels! We so look forward to your visits!! : )

This place was just lovely. The little shared yard was so beautiful and had a space to sit and relax that overlooked a striking view. The place itself inside was so clean and comfy and they kept it stocked with delicious pastries and breakfast stuff that we snacked on all day! It had a fridge, a whole selection of teas and a coffee maker, and a little fireplace with candles in it that was beautiful. We felt like we had a lot of privacy but whenever we would leave we’d come back and everything was restocked/cleaned/set up for us and it was just really really nice. We so enjoyed our time there.

Right now, the least expensive starting from $139 to the most expensive, which has a private outdoor hot tub and lake view, at $229. The best thing to do is to go to our website, for Casa del Sol in Austin Texas and put in your dates. The available rooms will appear with their prices.
