My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and clean. The Hotel & Conference Center is ideally located on the University of Texas Campus. The location is ideal to access the downtown Austin area. The Value was extremely reasonable in comparison to other properties in downtown Austin. I will definitely book another stay for future Austin visits!
I love this hotel. The cleanliness standards are top notch, the food is delicious and staff is friendly, helpful and professional. The soft pillows and comfy beds were awesome and the fluffy soft towels and robes were plentiful. I would suggest this hotel to anyone visiting Austin It's in a great location and they didn't miss a beat. I was in house for 5 days and could have easily stayed longer.
My room was lovely and the customer service I received from staff very good. I was in a room right by the street and couldn’t sleep through the noise of traffic. The walls are so thin I could hear the quiet phone conversation in the next room. Wouldn’t bother me so much, but I was here for an interview and will be going in on two bad nights of sleep, which is not at all ideal. The internet is also really slow and spotty which doesn’t make sense given it’s a conference hotel!
Everyone was helpful I really enjoyed my stay for the first hotel I booked it was the best, I got locked out my room I was so embarrassed to ask for help, it took a hour to build up my courage to ask for assistance, it didn’t even take them 5 mins to open the door best customer service I enjoyed my night
Hotel was ok. We checked very late. Lady at desk was not friendly, asked for extra sheets you would of thought we were asking for her kidneys. Paid for a regular room she gave us a handicap room. Room walls were stained, could have been dusted , otherwise maybe a 2.5/5
Good location. Hotel is perfectly fine (clean and calm), but wifi restricted like a hell. Some apps and audio/video calls don't work at all. So you are on your own with your work/remote stuff and there is no way around
Expensive. Staff could not be bothered to treat anyone with dignity. Had my things stolen including passports and cash. Staff did not seem to care. They were not helpful at all. When I filed a police report, I finally got an email from management saying they would look into it. I never heard back from anyone. I guess this is just normal for them. Be careful with your things and make sure to use the safe. The safe in my room was broken. What a mistake to stay there.
This is the on campus convention hotel for the University of Texas. It is fairly basic and largely lacking in charm. However, it is reasonably well appointed, the rooms are good size, the furnishings, and particularly the desk, are of good quality and the beds, pillows and linens are luxury quality. Housekeeping levels still not back to pre covid, but available on request. Service in Gabriel's is hit or miss, but the food and drink are reasonably priced for a hotel. Everyone is very nice. Perhaps the best feature is the easy to use, secure self parking, just an elevator ride away downstairs.
Good location. Limited restaurant and service staff due to Covid, so check to make sure whats open or not. Internet was very frustrating-for a CONFERENCE center, they should have enough bandwidth for everyone. We checked out early because we couldnt conduct business.
Great location and the beds were amazingly comfortable! The free parking was a great bonus. However, the room service ladies banging on the door at 8:30 am was not necessary!!! (Literally banging outside the door to clean the room….didn’t appreciate waking up that way when I didn’t have my little kids with!)
