Everything about my stay was amazing; from being directed to the parking garage, check-in, my room, dining at Gabriel's restaurant, my conference facilities were all amazing. We had over 600 attendees and the staff was on top of drinks, food, desserts, silverware, etc. We had some lines but they moved quickly and we didn't run out of anything that we wanted.

In the excitement of the Texas Longhorns playing against the Clemson Tigers for the first ever CFP Playoff First Round football game I quickly reserved a room at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center. I have been here before to hang out at the Gabriel’s Café before home games before but never spent a night here.

My weekend experience started by valeting my car where it is all cashless and the assistant will text you a link to tip them. It was quick and easy. The registration desk was on the second floor. Our room was very nice, elegant and spacious, and everything worked fine. We had a view of the courtyard and the room included the usuals like a mini fridge and two robes. The housekeepers were very nice and will change out the towels and spruce up the bed but wished they also had a QR code for tips. At night the room was very quiet and the bed very comfortable. My only recommendation is to change out the shower head for felt like worn out.

We dined at The Carillon and one of the best meals we have had in a very long time.

It was much less stressful to stay here and just walk to and from the game.

I have stayed here a couple of times. It's pricier than other hotels in the area, but the location adjacent to campus and the attentive staff make it worth it. The room service menu was good and the food was great.

Overall, the quality of the accommodations during the stay at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center was disappointing, and I would not recommend the facility to others.

Though staff were all polite and helpful, the hotel room left much to be desired, especially for the price. The entryway floor was sticky upon arrival and remained so throughout the stay. The underlay beneath the carpet had a crunchy texture that made it unpleasant to walk on without shoes. The bath tub did not have a stopper and thus could only be used as a shower. There was no dresser for my clothing, and I had to use the night stand in order to unpack my bag. The available guest wifi was so slow that it was impossible to use it for work, and the streaming service on the television was slow and would regularly fail to load.

I love staying at this hotel and attending conferences in the conference center. It is so easy to navigate getting around to the various conference rooms. The hotel rooms feel like our luxury and are so comfortable and clean. The food is very good so that you can park or valet your vehicle and never have to leave until you head home. Even the conference center food and beverages are great. The staff is warm and welcoming and go out of their way to provide everything you may need. I plan to return often.

All I can say is WOW! Everything was PERFECT. Here, there was little sign that the pandemic even occurred. Daily housekeeping, quality pillows and towels, open stores and restaurants…all of this made me so happy! The only thing I would have enjoyed was morning coffee room service, but I’m sure this hotel is recovering from the pandemic like everyone else. What a FANTASTIC stay.

Gabriel’s restaurant was fantastic and was open until 10pm, which was wonderful since we arrived at 9pm from a long road trip. I will never stay anywhere else!!

When I checked in the hotel put a charge on my card that was 150% what I expected to pay for the total stay. When I went to the front desk, they said they automatically add $75 per night for a room deposit and incidentals. This was not made clear when I reserved the room. Additionally, the hotel did not honor the rate they quoted me when I booked over the phone. I called the hotel numerous times to request a confirmation email, and never received it, but they checked and gave me a specific rate. When I checked in I asked what the rate was, and was told the same amount that I had been told on the phone.

After the high credit card charge, I went down again and they told me the second night was $40 more because they were more booked the second night. And that they couldn’t honor the price I was told because I didn’t have the confirmation.

1. If you stay here, book online so you have proof of your rates. Use other sites because they are much lower. Expect a huge charge the first night of your stay. They are not transparent about this when you check in.

2. Be smarter than me and stay at the Hampton across the street for way less. I debated both and wish I had stuck with a trusted brand.

3. Will not return.

Hello! We appreciate you taking the time to write a review, though we wish you had a better experience. Based on your comments, it sounds like clarification is needed. The rate of a booked reservation does not change between booking and the stay. At check-in, we confirm your credit card on file but you are not charged until the end of your stay. Confirmation emails are sent after booking, and email address are confirmed at check-in so that we can send a final receipt upon departure. We're not sure why there was a disconnect between your experience and our business processes, so if you have any further questions about your stay, please give us a call. Nevertheless, we hope you enjoyed your time in Austin and visit again!

It is So unfortunate that valet wrecked our vehicle. We specifically told the valet that our vehicle would not fit in the garage and he advised they would park it in front. When our vehicle was brought around upon our departure the valet driver said he hit a concrete pillar IN THE GARAGE because the vehicle would not maneuver around it and was too big for the garage.Yes, this is why we said DO NOT park it in the garage. SO FRUSTRATING! It also seem like the hotel simply avoided any wrong doing, taking no responsibilty at all for this incident since they said the valet is a 3rd party company. The valet is the first people that welcome you to the hotel, they take care of your vehicle during your stay, so I would say they have everything to do with your hotel. The valet never apologized for this incident. Instead, he walked away to allow the manager handle it. Horrible experience!!!! Our vehicle will require major body work and this is not acceptable.

This is a large hotel and conference center at the heart of Austin and is affiliated to the Univ of Texas at Austin. It is centrally located to attractions. One block away from the Bullock Texas State History Museum, two blocks away from the Blanton Museum of Art and few blocks away (~10 min walk) from the State's Capitol.

The hotel itself is great. Large rooms, spotless clean, with all modern amenities (large TV, coffee machine, iron, safe). It even provides bath robes. One thing I found a bit strange: the water bottle they leave in the room is quite pricey, but in the reception they offer free water from a water dispenser (those with large bottle replacements). There are two restaurants / bars in the premises, but they are not very cheap. There is also a (good) cafe and plenty of space to relax in couches, armchairs and smaller tables. Also in the pros: a very nice yard (it separates the hotel from the conference center).

One of the cons: there is not much else to do around in terms of restaurants and bars. You need to get a taxi to cross the (famous) bridge to go to the more "energetic" part of the town.

The personnel: excellent. Very attendance to guests' needs and very accommodating.

Overall: it was a very good experience.

Did a two night stay here while doing a campus site visit for a potential event. COVID protocols were good - masks strongly encouraged, rooms clean, etc. We arrived around 1:30ish on a Sunday afternoon and our rooms were all ready. Rooms are decent size. Not a ton of storage (three small drawers in each night stand and closet are your only options) and lighting was scarce. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable. I wanted to request hypoallergenic pillows due to a feather allergy. Instead of having to call, there’s an app by the bed you can use to submit requests. You can request all sorts of things (toothpaste, blankets, etc.). Super convenient! Housekeeping was very quick, too.

All the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful. Loved the bartender on Monday night. He was so friendly and made amazing drinks! We had lunch in the cafe on Sunday. The queso/salsa and caesar salad were both really good. My colleague got the wedge salad and enjoyed it, too.

Location is great. The Union is a few blocks away and the tower is just down the street. Everything on campus is an easy walk. There’s also a CityTarget (with a full Starbucks inside) about 3 blocks away.

The only complaint I have was the noise level in the guest rooms. There’s a considerable gap under the door so noise filtered into my room. I was surprised how loud it got, especially since it was pretty slow at the hotel.
