We went to this place on June 26-28-2019 which was the middle of the week. One opening complaint, there is no signage for the main entrance, just a carport that says, "Welcome" and then every door near there says, "employees only" or "no entrance". We went in to a door not locked or labeled, and it was at the other end of the main building where you sign up for activities. The person there, directed us to the proper end of the establishment. PLEASE FIX THIS. I am sure we are not the only ones to get lost. Now that my ONLY complaint has been purged, I can go on. The people are impressively helpful, always smiling and willing to answer any questions you may have. The rooms are what you'd expect for a cabin/lodge type setting. We had a suite with hot tub. The cabin was rustic without being rusty, mostly well maintained. There was a headrest from the hot tub that someone had put on the ground, but not complaining, just informing. The cabin had two queen beds, very high quality, and definitely enough pillows. I like a few extra pillows and they had them. The shower and tub were very new looking and extremely clean. We had a large TV which amazingly only got turned on to make sure it worked. When in a setting like this and activities, who needs a TV. In our package, the meals were included, but wine/beer is not. So naturally we had the 2009 Dom. :) The food was really well done, they will make special orders for different needs. I am diabetic, but I did not need to alter anything because the menu options were very health. If you go, and chef has it, I highly recommend the "Wonderful Root Salad" I never liked beets before now. I have since duplicated it at home and it is easy to prepare if you are thinking of a healthier life style. THE STAFF, THE STAFF, THE STAFF. ALL of the staff seem to be very well trained, even the groundskeepers were willing to engage and answer questions. From pool attendants to from desk staff, all are smiling, courteous, willing to do what it takes to make your stay a relaxing one.

I wanted to do something special for my daughter's birthday. She was limited on time for a long trip, so we spent two days at Lake Austin Spa Resort. It was better than I expected! I went out a few days early to preview the property and make reservations in person. It is very quite, secluded and the grounds are immaculate! I spoke to Shinelle (pronounced Chanel) and Carter, who gave me a tour. Both were so personal and recognized me when we checked in days later. Our room was #13, but as we approached, we went through a private gate and were in a wonderland of flowers and greenery. We had our own private garden and entrance to our room. We had two queen beds, a fireplace and the bathroom was amazing! I think they are redoing many of the rooms and ours had recently been remodeled. It was fantastic! We had an additional door from the bedroom to the garden, as the garden wrapped around our cottage. We spent the majority of the time on the lake, doing every lake/water activity imaginable. Water bike, paddleboard yoga, elliptical paddleboard, boat cruise bird bingo, wine cruise, inner tubing, boat cruise, etc. Everything we did was fantastic. We sat in swings that went over the water and hammocks by the water. The spa was great and so was all of the food. We were treated like Queens!

Seriously the skilled by the masseuses I found to be incredible. I had two of my best massages ever. The food is excellent although selections are all geared toward low cal, I just went with it and didn’t dislike anything. I got tanned and worked out everyday. Staff is all friendly and helpful. We took the boat from Austin to the Spa which added to the experience.

I went with my daughter for a mom/daughter get away. It was just what the doctor ordered! We both came back totally relaxed, and calm. It has everything you need to to destress. You can exercise, kayak, take a hike, or do nothing at all and just enjoy the beauty of Lake Austin. The spa is great too with a steam room, sauna, and indoor jacuzzi. We also enjoyed the coooking class. Food was delicious and a friendly staff. We can't wait to go back!

My daughter and I have just returned from Lake Austin Spa Resort. For a first time, it was overwhelming. (for me, anyway!) We hired a boat taxi (available from the Spa) to take us on the Colorado River (dammed at both ends, it becomes Lake Austin) to the Spa itself, from Austin. The weather was lovely the four days we were there but I could see the potential for a wonderful visit even in poor weather conditions -- there was that much to do. I can't say enough good about the staff. So accommodating, pleasant, and very professional; they catered to every inquiry and did their best to please. From the front desk to the staff organizing activities, every person was friendly and outgoing. We must have interacted with thirty staff and honestly, they did their very best to see that guests were well-looked after. We were very impressed. The facility is first-rate; beautiful scenery, well-kept buildings, and every detail seems to be taken into consideration - comfort is the main objective and the surroundings are aesthetically pleasing. There's a range of activities to keep everyone busy and happy and the spa itself seemed the main attraction. ( I commented to several guests that the white-robed people walking about reminded me of a quirky Handmaid's Tale) :) Speaking of rooms/buildings, the Dining Room offered a wonderfully scenic place to eat meals and served what we felt was the ultimate in fine dining. Conscientious cuisine offered delicious, nutritious meals that never disappointed. We were happily satisfied with everything on the menu. All in all, it was a wonderful introduction to the state of Texas. We enjoyed everything about the experience and highly recommend it.
