We stayed one night in this little Motel and loved it. It was clean and quite and located in the just the right place in Austin. Close to so many shops and restaurants as well as the capitol and 6th street. It truly makes you feel like you are in another decade.

My gf and I stopped at the Austin Motel for the night. Great little place to stay. My room was on the lower floor but up on a hill behind the main office. The hotel itself is old. Don't let that fool you though. It is in very good condition. Our room had actual hardwood floor's throughout. A nice comfy...

Spent a single night here. It's an old Motel that parts have been there since 1933. Well maintained and clean. I've stayed in many new places that could learn a thing or two from the Austin. It's not the Four Seasons or the Ritz but it ain't the Motel 6 in Skansville either

The best thing about the Austin Motel is the location on the strip with great restaurants, stores and the Continental Club. It is a short walk to the riverfront and down town, As advertised, the decor keeps to the 30s, at least in room 133. Free parking is a plus, but we did not take advantage of the pool. On...

I loved this motel. It was retro, quirky and a great dose of Americana. The pool is beautiful, Wifi is included and there are fantastic shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. I'd definitely stay here again.

2 nights in the smallest room was $210 total, great. The location was excellent in that I walked to and from the Convention Center, Austin City Limits, etc. The room didn't have a theme like some I saw reviewed; if I named it, I would call it my grandmothers room. Everyone was nice here. Room wasn't as cold as I...

Stayed here two nights with old pals (6 men) while on a week long BBQ tour of Central, TX. We had 3 double queens all of which were exceptionally clean as was the entire property and grounds. This old 50's throwback motel/motor court is located in the trendy S. Congress area, lots of places to eat and things to do....

The BEST place to stay when visiting Austin. Walk to music, shopping, food trucks, eateries, and fun. Make sure to enjoy the patios and the pool. The pool is a great oasis from the hustle of Congress. Great coffee and souvenirs in the lobby.

We booked this motel because we wanted something affordable and local while we honeymooned in Austin. We were incredibly happy with the cost, location, service, and cleanliness of the Austin Motel. I will try to summarize what we liked and didn't like about the property. PROS: -Great location right on South Congress! We fell in love with this neighborhood and...

I travelled to Austin on my own and needed a reasonable place to stay close to downtown. All of the chain hotels were wildly expensive ($350++) and I just needed a clean, safe, convenient place to lay my head. The Austin Motel has plenty of kitschy personality. I stayed in a single room with a full sized bed. It was...
