We stayed as a family of 3 in a "suite". It was very spacious and quirkily furnished and darkly painted. It had a kitchenette but with no kitchen utensils whatsoever which limited its usefulness. The bathroom was adequate but the fixtures and fittings needed updating. The room servicing was a little haphazard. Generally though, we were very comfortable. The room...

I stayed here for a few days and i love this hotel, it was nice and hot and the pool was put to good use. Its a really area to relax in too. Its central to soco lots to explore on foot which is nice as normally a car is needed. Its not the cheapest hotel but worth the money...

We arrived at 7 pm on a Monday, and eventhough the homepage promissed available rooms at different rates they only had the two expensive room types left. So we got to pay almost 250 USD (incl. tax), but then looking forward to a nice room. But the room was not nice. It had terrible lighting, no carpets, lots of traffic...

I stayed here this past October for 2 nights. First off there is no elevator so if you are handicapped or have issues with stairs or carrying your heavy suitcases up flights of stairs then you better request a ground floor room. I had one of the nicer rooms, it was overlooking the pool but relatives had 2nd level rooms...

Ok, let me begin by saying that we enjoyed our stay. The location was our primary reason for staying here because we were attending a show at the Continental Club with is right across the street. It is central to everything (shops, restaurants, clubs, etc.) on South Congress Ave. Parking is free and right in front of your room. The...

Great location. Very basic room with wall murals and mismatched old furniture. Funky and fun but far from luxurious. Bed & chairs not very comfortable but acceptable. Stay here for the experience and fantastic location in the SoCo neighborhood and within easy waking distance to the downtown entertainment district and numerous good restaurants and clubs. No room service. No valet...

Old building, old furniture, but all clean. Rather great rooms; perfect shower, plenty of towels. Swimming pool is a plus. Parking in front of the room Good location: walks to the centre and near to clubs and restaurants. No breakfast available, only coffee and energy bar. Expensive bottle of water; expensive motel all so.

The Austin Motel, on South Congress, is a landmark itself. But it's comfortable, well located and the staff is great - everyone we encountered was terrific. We stayed there for two nights and they're so accommodating. It's just a few minutes walk to downtown and within a stone's throw of all of the shops, restaurants and watering holes on S....

Having stayed at the Austin Motel a number of times over the past decade, the recent change in ownership has left me rather dismayed, All the quirky sculptures and decorations that were a key feature of the motel, especially the old car used as a planter. have been sold and removed. Prices have shot up, Nearly $200 a night in...

For anyone traveling on a budget like me, this place will be your go to when travelling to Austin. The rooms are kept very clean, and even though they are a bit small, they are very cute. I don't know how they managed, but it is quite a quiet hotel, especially considering the location. If you are expecting a boutique...
