Young lady that checked me in was apart of the British army guards, no social interaction, no facial expressions and just rude. Bartender was great, burger was great. Lots of close by places to eat and ease of commute was nice.

Hotel's Favorite
We have been excited to travel again mainly to attend the graduation of my daughter from the UT Austin. The Hotel Manager Jim and Angel made our extended stay ~30 days wonderful. As a diamond member they have upgraded us to executive floor and at the end of the trip to a two-bedroom suite facing the Texas State Capitol Building. The Hotel was perfectly located, they offer nice but limited breakfast, room service and evening bar service. This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel and for sure I will be coming again and again. Especial thanks to all the staff at the hotel, the room service, the breakfast servers and the bar tender and the bellboys. Till visiting with you again stay safe and keep up the excellent work.

Excellent stay with my 2 dogs after a horrible attempted checkin at the Hampton Inn down the street. Online checkin was honored as it should be (unlike the Hampton), and all staff was professional and courteous. Suite are generously sized which was appreciated while traveling with my 2 furry companions. Valets especially went out of their way to open doors, greet my dogs, and even offered them treats, despite the fact that I was utilizing self park (off site). I would definitely return here again!

If you're looking for a spacious room to stay in that is walkable to most of Austin's attractions this is the perfect place. Less than 1 mile to Lady Bird lake. Friendly staff that was welcoming when I arrived. Pool was nice to enjoy on a warm day.

We were told when we checked in that they were short staffed, and we would not get daily service on our room. That is fine, I understand. What was not fine was the cleanliness and maintenance of our room. There wa black mold on the window frames and on the ceiling surrounding the windows. Also mold covered was the shower tile grout. All the doors in the room were covered in hand prints and splatters of who knows what. Smears and drips, not just minor fingerprints. Gross. The headboards on both beds were worn through the vinyl…with just the stringy fabric vinyl backing showing. That is years of neglect and lack of maintenance. All of the upholstered surfaces were disgusting. Giant stains and overall grime. We put bedsheets over them before sitting. The lobby and bar area were clean and inviting, and desk service/ valet service were both very good. Room maintenance was terrible. I would never stay here again. Again, I don’t expect my sheets and towels to be replaced every day, but I do expect a clean and sanitized room on check in. Our room here was unacceptably grimy, dirty, poorly maintained, and just gross.

The staff at this Double Tree were incredible! Such an accommodating group of people who spread a lot of joy (and gave me a lot of cookies). I would absolutely recommend coming here. Also, the entire hotel was beautiful and always clean!

Stayed here for a couple weeks for a leadership seminar. We are a rambunctious group and make a lot of noise. The team here did their best in maintaining the integrity of the hotel and their guest experience while allowing us to conduct our training. It’s hard to navigate - and I’m super grateful and impressed how the team here took care of us, managed us, and allowed everyone visiting the hotel the best possible experience! Thank you 2x Austin! Also special shout out to Travis Allen - super nice and a great face to see every time we come in. Thank you!
