We chose this hotel because it was close to the family we were visiting, and we would definitely stay here again. The made to order breakfast is a big attraction for us, but we were pleased with the comfort of the room and the ease of parking.

Hotel's Favorite
I've a happy repeat guest at this Embassy Suites. I come about once a quarter for a 2 day stay or so and have been pleased. They have a top notch staff with good service on check in. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned. Breakfast is above par - most notable the amazing speed of the cook - no long waits for omelets at this location. My only annoyance is that the stairs only exit to the outside. I like to use the stairs instead of the elevator during a stay to be healthy but on a cold day in Jan that's no fun.

This hotel needs to be updated and needs better management. Happy hour was sad and long slow lines for breakfast. There were a lot of issues that made for a poor experience. No remote for the TV, broken elevator, running toilet, long lines at breakfast and happy hour, and many other small issues left us unhappy with our stay.

David P. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. I am very sorry that we fell so short of expectations. As General Manager, ultimately this is my fault and for this I am truly sorry. I do hope you have received my other correspondence and that you feel that I have made it right with you. I do hope you will be willing to give us another opportunity should your travels bring you back to Austin. Thank you Paul Davis General Manager

Great hotel. The staff is always friendly, professional, and helpful and that makes the difference between just a nice hotel and a great hotel when you will be staying there for weeks to months. My favorite hotel in the Hilton franchise.

Review collected in partnership with Embassy Suites Hotels
The experience was underwhelming, to say the least. The hotel is very dated, as are most of hotels in the chain, but it was clean. It looked like pretty much every other Embassy Suites I've been to. There were a steady stream of small disappointments, however. The staff were less than friendly (especially factoring in that this is Austin), the water pressure in the shower was painful and filled the tiny bathroom with water, and it was fairly loud. The biggest surprise was the lack of a hot breakfast. They did have food out for breakfast, but it consisted only of bread, cereal, and a limited selection of fruit. Want eggs, meat, hot pastries, or vegetables? Nowhere to be found. The buffet is standard chain-wide which made this disappointing. Perhaps the cook called in sick the day I stayed there. None of these things were that major in the grand scheme of things, but given the price point of the chain and amenities advertised, I can't rate it highly for its class. If you're staying in this area, there is a Hyatt House down the street with much nicer rooms and a full breakfast. I'll continue to stay at Embassy Suites in other cities, but I'd steer clear of this location.
